Shoulda woulda coulda didn’t. I get many moments like that doing what I do.
What will be will be. Thank you for trying so hard, keep the faith champ. I’m spent myself done as much I can. It’s not over yet and I get the gist of Queensland should be alright once the pollies figure out wtf they are doing or not doing. That is the frustrating part, slam these laws through with 48hrs consultation period that they did not announce and they are so vague.
But to keep above the law all I’ve got to do is check my POL website for any changes and information which I have been doing everyday. Bit of correct news that may effect me directly, as it stands now for me nothing changes.
@Maiphut it’s ironic that the tougher regs introduced ages ago in S.A. on gel blasters are now the things that are making it possible for your state to say to the federal government “we see no need to change state laws, we already have everything in place”.
But what are we talking about in numbers? 10, 20, 50?
Either way they will become extremely rare if they can no longer be allowed to be imported
A big thanks goes to both rok and akgelblasters for all of their hard work and efforts in organising to get these and everything else here for our enjoyment.
It’s sad to see the BS that’s happening currently, leaving the sport in limbo while we wait to find out exactly WTF they are going to do about this whole nonsense, which is the best way I can describe it without being vulgar, and I do have some quite brutal thoughts on how rediculous it is that toys that fire 100% non lethal soft ammunition be treated like a real life firearm.
it’s an absolute joke and is almost laughable that a toy could even be compared to the real steel in the first place until you see the impact it is having on the community and the businesses that bring them in for our enjoyment
I for one am completely appalled at our government for the poor judgement and decisions being made for “every australian’s benefit”. Tighten up real steel laws over the Bondi incident, ok maybe some changes should be made, but bringing reasonably harmless toys into it is absolutely unnecessary and completely ridiculous to say the least
I remain with my fingers crossed that we will still be able to continue the hobby without the loss of further imports of these toys, which at the end of the day is exactly what they are and exactly how they should be treated, as toys, but toys that require being used responsibly
I know, I mean they are strict for a reason. But imo fair and just to weed out the hooligans that runamuck and do the wrong thing.
Why I looked at it hard when brought in, I thought ok that’s fair. And it has made a difference, no more blaster drive bys or servo hold ups besides the odd druggo that has an unregistered firearm along with some blasters unregistered. But now SAPOL can convict them with firearms offences which are hefty which they could not do before, was getting dismissed and thrown out of court as the Judges had no actionable law to enforce with.
At least we had over 6 months to apply and go through the process unlike Dubyay just fucked it overnight with no consultation or anything. I knew that as soon as they did it, I was like wtf.
This is what happens when you don’t stop, think for a few days or minutes, make some common sence laws all to appease the unaware that have no idea about a real firearm or a gelblaster at all they are shit scared of all of them because they look scary to them. If you don’t know about something then that is scary for me too. I didn’t know how to run sheep 26 years ago, but I learnt and did courses. I didn’t advocate for them being banned. And yes people a sheep WILL hurt you 10 times over what a gelblaster could ever dream of. Think missing big toe nail, broken finger you get my gist.
Here in WA a replica firearm was ALWAYS treated as a real weapon by the Courts if they were used in criminal activities.
This is exactly why there was NO argument whatsoever in any need to change the already existing Laws.
At least they left the appearance laws alone, but there’s obviously got to be some common sense if the TRG gets called because some Karen called 000 after seeing a bunch of 10 year old kids running around the park playing with plastic AR-15’s and AK-47’s!
We had a couple of kids running around firing off capguns in the shopping center I work at a while ago, police were never called and ppl were just telling the brats to piss off cause it was startling some elderly ppl with the noise.
That actually looks pretty clean. Nozzle looks like it might work with something else, maybe a CYMA nozzle. Only troubled part would be that tappet looking at it there.
Nope… just checked. Externally same as an ldt style nozzle… slightly different tip but the alloy externally dimensions are the same.
Internally… same as xyl or wells… so proprietary.
No o-rings either. Thicker oil is all you can do.
You could change the cylinder head to ldt style, the be able to change the nozzle to ldt, run the standard tip.
However the head posts are thicker and don’t fit, so drill the head post holes out… then the aoe is off… I think just a thicker oil will be adequate.
Does have a good green oring on the piston head.
Cylinder head oring got the teflon gas tape treatment, it’s oddly larger than normal cylinder head o-rings, and between two generic oring sizes.
Classic gel stuff.
You could stuff around with the head and nozzle, but everything else looks decent.
Also not the proprietary length of motor shaft.
Bit of seal fix, clean and grease. Can always quick change the spring, however I wouldn’t recommend too much as the tiny battery won’t enjoy it!
I reckon it is closer to a 60% than a 70%, but I didn’t reference it to a new 60%, just measured the swept volume and calculated it to be pretty much right where it needed to be.
