AKGelblaster G36...( Or..."Dont want a LDT, yeah you know me!)

Gearbox has to come out.

You could possibly remove the plate, but i think it helps secure the box in the receiver.

It doesn’t take long to pull down…

That’s like Vietnam woo yee hah a tree moved ah nah these are shit it blew up  woohoo ! USA 111!

“for my next trick…lets see how long i can juggle a live grenade.!!”

Who was after a M16 front handguard.?.?

Okay…comparo time.
LDT vs CYMA.

and…not a lot to say.

Weight:
The weight is a noticeable point.
I’d reckon the LDT is 1.5kg heavier than the Cyma.
Points to Cyma, for a all day run around blaster.
It’s not light…just lighter than LDT.

Performance:
Very little between them now…40 fps ish.
Cyma is 300-320
LDT is 360-370

Cyma has all the performance you need, for a game day blaster.
It runs quieter too…LDT is louder.

Appearance:
Very, Very close.
LDT gets points for having engravings for stenciling (Cyma has printed), and mags with visible rounds showing. LDT bolt cycles all the way back, Cyma only partially.( meh) Orange is not visible, for the cyma box. LDT wins on overall quality (andteardown), but Cyma wins on value for $$.

LDT fits into the cyma box, perfectly…!!

LDT has engraved channels, for stencils. pretty deep too…

I did fill it up, with white filler, and red dyed filler.
Average results, on the red…bit of glare here…

I might get my loupes, red touch up paint, superfine artist brush, and give it the works…

White came up well…and should stay, being so deep…

Mags are similar…and sorta half connect…

but not cross compatible.

Anyway, i’ll run through a photo roll now…

G36’ed Out.?.?

I am…!!

Last post, i swear…

Paint touch up, on the LDT…

Loupes, lights, fine paint brush…and car touch up paint…!!

I’m done…

Cool that looks better. :+1:

WTF is a loupe, is it something I need in my tool kit. I think you told me ages ago but with recent goings on my brain is mush. Oh well the dumber the better had three people breaking my door down today, actually the good guys this time and farmer friends. You should of been a fly on the wall for those conversations, I couldn’t stop laughing :+1: :+1: Lots of F words haha

Yes Rok has been flat out… ready for a weekend that doesn’t exist

And I would like to publicly thank @BME for the work he has done, believe it or not while it has given me more work; it has also improved my QC process. A blaster working as intended is pretty important when selling to me!

Went through some of the stock yesterday, trying to find faults and seek answers and solutions. The SCAR battery wire issue really concerns me, as a shorting battery is no good. Currently the solution is to crimp the terminals a little tighter as they are looser than they should have been; and add some heat shrink over the terminals to remove risk of a short.
The battery for them, is as big as fits, and was also the smallest 7.4v available from Turnigy at the time.

My recommendation for any blaster with the battery in the stock is to set the stock length before installing the battery but especially on the SCAR, as it is tight, but the battery will offer the longest play time.

Yes they are Chinese made toys, but my goal is to only sell ones that are passing MY tests of function; which there are now a few more tests and checks on the blasters.

I am a transparent guy, so here you all go.
EVERY blaster sold was checked for function by checking the battery, connecting battery, checking safe, semi, auto, semi, safe, auto, safe, semi, safe. Then testing mag prime or checking mag motor runs with a separate test if no mage prime exists.
Also a general eyeball inspection.

Adding to it now is a am going to test fire some gels through a chrono to ensure it is doing what is expected. Now gels do vary, but I will be keeping a gel and chrono record of each blaster with the picking slip at my end now.

I didn’t initially want to do this, not because of time constraints but more as it kind of constitutes using a new blaster, but I think in the scheme of things, it completes the checks and gives the customer a better experience and feeling knowing the blaster works as expected. This G36c blaster would not have passed, and BME would have been sent one that does work as expected.

I am a gel blaster fan/nerd and tech first. Business man second. I want people to be happy with their products and feel safe in the knowledge that they are going to get the blaster they pay for and it does the things it says.
Some of these blasters are new to me too, so I do feel I dropped the ball a little by not checking as thoroughly as I should have and for that I apologise BME!

End of the day I left the blaster retailer I worked for as I wasn’t happy with their policies and practices, and it is easy to be better than that, that is my goal!

All good, @RokSolid

certainly no animosity on my end. Just chinese QC faults.

Whats the saying…??
“Its not gel, if you dont have to screw around with it…!!”

The SCAR did fire first time, as it would have with you…wires just happened to be in contact at the time.

Not your design problem, not your fault.
Easy fix too…now were aware of the problem.
Better that it happened to me first, than all the other sales…!!

The G36 likewise, Chinese QC fault.
Some lowly paid factory worker, was probably rushing, and didn’t do one step properly. Thats all.

Easy fix, and i was gonna pull it apart anyway…so no biggy.

I don’t think anyone would mind having a test fire before delivery, to ensure motors, mags, performance etc are all as expected.

None of these minor issues take away from the overall quality / value of the products, at all.

Anyway, looking forward to round 2…and next Gelball nobody vid…!!

Loupes…
As in dental Loupes.

A set of Magnifying glasses you wear over both eyes…this version is 3x
This is the cheaper set i got, as a dental student.
Reasonable quality for student use, and cheap…about $300.

Good ones cost $2500+… as a starting point.
The more magnification you have, the less ‘depth of field’.
i.e. the backwards forwards zone which is in focus.
Gives you better posture, as it makes you sit up straighter…

This brand is GRC dental.
You might want to try a pair, good for really small, fine close in work.

For example…now its dry…

Loupes help with the application, and clean up.
Using the fine paint brush, you can easily see whats going on in the channel.
Get into the corners etc.

The paint went on a bit blobby, so i let it set a bit, then went over the surface again, with the tiniest amount of paint remover.

This tiny amount smoothed the paint, and flattened it out.
Makes out of bounds clean up easier too…

Hey watch it you are stealing my material   I knew Beemer would corrupt you and turn your life back to front and upside down. I’m glad I’m a State away and I have anti air missiles bahaha

oh well I thought it was funny anyway

My Mk1 eyeballs aren’t toast yet just need 2x for the fine print on package labels.

Thanks for the info I had no Idea what a loupe was I was thinking some sort of doctors wipe, I txtd my Doc mate, he said nup never heard of it.

Plus for what I do I’d definitely need something more robust :joy:

standard fare,for dentists…

10x for endodonists…and thats just starting…

You can get really cheap (but crappy) sets from fleabay…

might help with fine model painting…

If it looks good under magnification…Mk1 eyeball will be fine.!

Ebay sets are cheap…but pretty average…you want more…

Well the 60 year old greek lady dentist I went to didn’t use anything like that. She took one look at my bad tooth and xrayed it, yup that’s a gonner  I said yup yoink it.

Little lady had to double inject me in really get in to it as the bastard wouldn’t come out lightly. Fkn hang on a minute got this little greek lady on my chest… haha nah she was really good find for a rural dentist better than the city ones and well experienced top job which I thanked her for muchly to get my shit tooth da fuk outta there. It was that bad it was making me sick. You get good dentists and bad ones.

Yeah, you dont need to use them all the time.

Depends how good your eyesight is…
Don’t need them for extractions.

Its usually for larger restos, further back in the mouth…where everything is against you.

Or, anterior teeth where you going for good aesthetics / matching/ finishing.

Make it look good under magnification, its great with the mk1 eyeball…
