AKGelblaster G36...( Or..."Dont want a LDT, yeah you know me!)

Big Jim Slade, and the Dusky Dentist…

“Who’s got a dirty mouth.? You’ve got a dirty mouth.!!
I got just the thing, to bring that smile back to your face…!!

Are you ready for, the injection,?? “
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Is that when you say Ben Dover

I think I’ll stick to my 60 yo greek lady that doesen’t need loupes

Sounds more like something you need tweezers and an anti-fungal cream for than eyewear, if you ask me…

"Doctor, I’ve got really itchy and inflamed loupes… it’s driving me nuts!"

haha oh look out somebodies got new material  :v: :+1:

Had a play with @BME 's G36c.

Seems the cylinder head and piston head o-rings had shrunk. I’m not thrilled to see it but while replacing them, I also replaced the piston and piston head.

Now this is the first time I have used the new T238 Pro piston, I have heard they are tough, and they do look meaty, the rack is near impossible to remove, and the piston head I have used a few of.

Only replaced the piston as the stock one has only a single metal tooth… fine for bb slingers but for gel full auto use, piece of mind is to have a full metal rack!
And the piston head was replaced as the stock one is not compatible with other pistons without work.

In all. Two o-rings, piston. Piston head, BME 's m100… that’s it. Little clean and grease and oil.

And the results?

Decent numbers I reckon!

Not much point trying to reshim unless swap to slim bushes… stuff all room!
As for a V3 box. Pretty good to work on. The trigger and trigger rocker stayed put for the whole operation, anti reverse behaved, and apart from trying 3 other pistons and heads first was pretty quick.

Let’s just say… I’m ordering more of these t238 pistons for any future cyma as they fit and worked well, the rell test is how long they last, but I am prepared to swap it out if it gives trouble because I don’t like using parts I have tested myself prior!

Awesome results…Thanks Rok…!!

By way of background information…

As per my above post, i had previously pulled it down to the gearbox.
Didn’t split the box…just did a M100 spring upgrade and that was that.

All went well… it performed well.
Until it didn’t. It still fed and fired…just around about 150 fps.
I knew it was going to be a air-seal problem…straightforward fix.

Giving it back to Rok made sense on a few points…

  • still under warranty
  • i don’t have a ready stockpile of spares on hand
  • Rok can have a look at it / reason for him to pull one apart/ maybe do another video
  • i was also returning the m4 to Rok, for him to take a look at the mosfet.

Also, lm a little gun-shy removing the metal tabs on top. I destroyed one, last attempt on a hanke…so i didn’t want to smash this one under warranty and stuff it…

Very good performance results…its up there now with LDT G36 performance.

Very little in shell differences between CYMA/ LDT, so this is a cheaper alternative for those after a G36 but missed out last time.

Also… good post sales support from Rok…but that was never going to be in question.!

Good stuff…!!

Ooo got me interested to hear about the longevity :+1:

Beemer give it a hiding with packets of ballz for me. Thanks  :+1:

Mandatory hiding initiated.

Got the G36 back from Rok today…!
Clandestine meetings at ‘murder alley’, are becoming a fortnightly event…!!

The good news is, its back to being a absolute pearler…

How’s that for consistency…!!!

ROF Exactly the same… ( out of a 7.4v battery)
And FPS within a single digit of each other… ( ihobby blues)

The resulting accuracy, saw me able to pick off individual frozen peas, off the fence, at 40m, with laser sighting…

Not quite, but pretty good…

This would be an awesome game day blaster…decent weight, very sturdy, good performance and affordable.

Great budget blaster…lets see how it holds up with a bit of use…
Cyma’s have a good reputation…

If you want something that’s NOT a M4…
Grab one… and support Akgelblaster, and Rok…

I think @RokSolid will be a busy little bee, for the next little while…

Bring on the extra mags…!!

Thanks @BME glad you are happy with it.
I love tinkering with blasters, but love it when the results bring a smile to the owners!

Pretty impressive blaster… only an m100, new piston, piston head, and o-rings for the piston head and cylinder head. Really other than light clean and fresh lube (giggity) not alot to see here but a mighty fine blaster and good value. Really impressed with these.

Had footage of the whole process, then phone died and not sure how much made it to my computer and how much I am missing, haven’t gotten around to it yet… will make something out of whatever I have in time. Make it work somehow!

Very, very grateful kind sir for the zb26. Even with the tpiece broken… I love a project! Truly thankful and overjoyed.

But my stuff can wait, for BME has granted me another blaster of his to see what I can do, on top of another one I have yet to finish!

I am indeed a busy man at the moment!

It’s good… being busy keeps the itching to buy more blasters to tinker with a bay… Well not really! But I sounded responsible for a moment at least!

I call your ZB26…“The Trojan Horse”…

It appears to be a gift, but inside lurks a dangerous threat…!!

Have you been cooerced into producing a 3d printed T -piece…??
Thereby solving the design flaw, and making available a replacement product, ensuring supply of said product, and long term longevity of this model…??

Lets just go with me being altruistic, instead…!!

All jokes aside, i think you enjoyed the process of playing with the ZB26, and wont mind making one up for yourself, as you benefit from it.

You could then rightfully sell the part to others… i think a few people here have broken t-pieces / wall hangers, due to dead t pieces…

Good stuff…!!

I think my G36 air seal issues, were a one off manufacturing issue…

Most people should get similar results, with just a M100 spring change…

Now that is cheating so it’s not counted  You engaged the services of a professional

Please don’t wear out the said professional. Billy Smith from El Paso Texas is watching you :australia: :v:

Makes great channel content for sure. I had to wipe my schedule and grab a glass of port just to watch the Brno 26 teardown and fixes. Some silly kid drew on the gearbox

Leave Squid alone he is busy learning how to beat your arse. Oops I meant panel beating  :v:

I actually have an unusual proprietry gearbox upgrade I wanted to discuss with you, maybe get you to do the fettling, it’s a little outside my comfort zone. :person_shrugging:

But you’re definitely looking pretty busy there so it can wait until your less busy… say, August /September 2026?

Might be something worth filming for your channel too, you never know.

@RokSolid

Yep scrub the board and get this job on. You’ve already done things for beemer so push the schedule back a bit. Maybe it’s up to you, your business :joy:
