Calling all blaster owners to action

trying to understand how this affects nerf and custom nerf builds for my state.

Someone has to try the B709 import system, to import something new…

May as well be me…

One B709, for a MG42, please…

Try small, with a one off…i can extol my virtues of being a collector, professional person of (somewhat!) good standing etc…

@AKgelblaster do you know when they will be coming available for sale locally for you in HK.?

They would need an advert , and a link, to look at it.
I would assume thaty you were planning on carrying that model, anyway…

You always get the cool stuff…!!
Thanks…

You are also going to need the Home affairs minister to sign off on it on top of your B709A. It is up to his discretion now.

Can take half a year for him to wake up.

i am probably a mix of being naive and overreacting but am 100% pissed off.

Join the club. I believe NERF is falling under firearms laws now in your state. I’m not 100% on that though.

Exactly.
May as well give it a try.

Apply for a B709, and see if it gets approved.

@AKgelblaster … i am serious about trying.

I would need an ad, to link it to …

Do you know when they are coming out.?
Sometime soon.?
Thanks.

They have not finalized the rules and legislation yet so I’d hold fire if I was you and see what pans out then go from there. This is going to take time.

But by all means seeing as you are an outstanding citizen of Australia give it a try. Give the Home Affairs minister something to do :joy:

You are the crash test dummy

Well… having a federal ASIC (aviation security I’d card) means I’m subjected to high levels of scrutiny…

That’s gotta help…

Costs nothing to apply for a b709…tests the system…

QPS are still approving b709a. Easy to get.

Its the permission from home affairs you’ll need to do AS WELL after you get your b709a.

Spoke to someone yesterday who has things seized. They have a b709a for it. They’ve also had other things approved and b709a issued since the new legislation has come in.
ABF don’t care. Get approval from the feds as well.

Yes it will, same as me because of what I do for a living. Similar, not exactly same.

As far as I can gather atm, it is still up to the discretion of the Home affairs minister so he might knock it back because he feels like it. He might not too. I dunno.

How do you get that.?
Through b709 approval.?

Or seperate email direct…?

Thank you SO MUCH for that great response @RokSolid
Very tough and uncertain times ahead for sure and we all need to keep the pressure on our Government whilst things are still up in the air.

I would be questioning the fact that the Government has recognised Blasters as a “marker” and a “prohibited weapon” , NOT an actual “Firearm”, which one would assume sidesteps the New Laws regarding videos and information regarding the “building or modification” of an actual “Firearm” according to their own legal designation of a Gelblaster as a Marker.

Again, it’s early days and the water is still very murky.

Checked my state everyday for any updates to see if I need to change things. State is up for vote in Febuary and not doing anything before that and be up to whoever gets in to make changes, if any at all as we already have most of what they are proposing for the east coast in effect for 30 years, then the blaster amendments of 2021. Tough but fair and the only ones that get done today are illegal anyway and get full firearms charges thrown at them which is very hefty. That is what SAPOL wanted to convict the crims as there was nothing they could use to convict the idiots doing drive bys and servo holdups with them. Got thrown out of court.

Now they are happy as if you do that crap you should not have them or the licence for it. I think it’s fair to control the runamuckas.

trying to get cooperation from china to have software blocking gun parts in 3d printers is a tall order. Someone will eventually bypass and run it offline.

We need the clarity on a few newly added import requirements, otherwise I recommend not to risk the money to order aboard at the moment. Even a slide mat require serial number now.

1. List of criteria to comply the additional safety test and the public interest test required:

(For example, safety limit for HK is 2J, safety limit of automatic “markers” for Germany is 50FPS without approval. Local shop produced test result will suffice the safety test requirement usually.

Public interest can be related to multiple factors, appearance requirement is in-force in Singapore, Canada and UK - we need clarity.)

2. Definition of fully automatic firearm:
Would fully automatic mode need to be disabled for the realistic looking gel blaster shipping to QLD? Not suprised if it is yes.

Thank you very much for all your support, akgelblasterau.com. Rok and I talked about it since late 2024, I asked around how to ship to Australia legally and finally got help from some senior in the industry. Rok has put a lot of efforts and even renovated a corner in his house just a week before the new bill passed. With your support and thanks to your tolerance, we really want to grow it further.

It is a dream barely began before it ended.

Thanks.

The timing of the laws is terrible…just after it was all getting started for you guys…!!

Step no 1 is to apply… that costs me nothing.
If he knocks me back, so be it.
It may show what is required to import new stuff…tests, semi auto etc…

i am happy to just apply for a permit, and see how far it goes.
That doesn’t cost anything.

But, it would require an advert, for them to look at.
Do you know when its being released locally, in HK.?

I could link in the advert, and see what happens…
Thanks

As usual it come down to the “discretion” of a person, not what abides by law.

If they woke up on the wrong side of the bed or haven’t had their morning coffee and decide they don’t like something even if it follows all laws and procedures is retarded and should be an abuse of power imo.

Discretion should only be allowed for police or the like.

As the new bill just become effective, I am sure the newly added criteria will become clear very soon as the border force is already handling some shipments from other retailers arrived the port.
The export process actually stay the same as no one can conclude the new requirements , however we know whats happening in the import side, so let’s wait for the criteria become clear.
No worries.

How about you demand your tax dollars at work and have a meeting with the HA Minister and sort him out :joy:

But yes, I’m very sad panda for AKGB and everyone in the community after all of their legitimate efforts doing it the right way. Just so a polly can look good. I’ll probly get locked up for saying this now. fine shit food it is then  :+1:
