That’s entirely wrong, can you give me an example of an electric blowback airsoft pistol that can fire manually via pulling the slide and still have it’s slide cycled by a set of gears and motor before the 3DG Glocks?
Not all gel blasters were from airsoft, MOST of the SYSTEMS were from airsoft. I know a spoonful of original gearbox mechanisms that come from the R&D of gel companies in China.
If you’re talking about converting gel blasters to airsoft, not all of them can be converted.
Although you are partially right that you can get a gel grenade launcher in QLD but not airsoft.

There was a time not so long ago on this forum when even just using the word "airsoft* was a no-no. 
There are other threads on here, that are dedicated to “other things”, outside of gel…
R/C stuff, what did you get up to today etc….

I like seeing what new stuff is around… I don’t really peruse other reddits / forums that much.
I don’t see much of a difference between the two Hobbies… apart from the fact that Gelbasters brought the Hobby to the masses at an affordable price!
Well, it started out that way back in the day, even when we were all getting those brand new CYMA M4’s for $80 on Sales.
The Gelbaster Industry did end up crawling up to Airsoft style prices for particular models, but there’s still plenty of affordable options out there for allowing people to join the Hobby with a bit of pocket money.

The spring mag, seems to work well, and feed properly…
And the flame units not bad either…
I only have one flame unit…it it wa the multi colour jobby, with the tec-9.
