Next project has started taking shape, this one’s gonna take while thou.
Assuming I don’t have amy failed prints or need to reprint anything all up it’s something like 4 days straight total print time.

Just to update on this one: got the blowback cylinder installed, put the blowback thing back in, new inner barrel to fit and a bigger spring means its sitting comfortably at 75 MPS now which is what I wanted.
Decided to give it a new paintjob since the “weathered” look was a tad overdone lol - slowly sprayed over several days since thin layers and ample time to dry inbetween is the key here, final result is alright I guess. Could be better, for some reason the paint peeled in some places but eh, not too worried about that. I think it turned out quite well.
Mate it looks awesome. And that is the standard sentiment of anyone doing a camo paint job! The owner sees the imperfections, everyone else sees how good it is!
Remember the best camo paint jobs, end up with natural imperfections and wear, and that is when they look the best! ![]()
The first thing i saw was the stock…!!
Just what im after…!!
that finish looks nice and sharp.!
I see that they spray from a distance, to give blurry edges…
depends which look you like.!
I’m finding out lacquer paints, is a exercise in patience…
multiple layers over each other, with drying time a must…
Fucking shitass RX AK STORM that fucking didn’t fire so I fucking disassembled it and found nothing fucking wrong so I fucking started it fucking assembling back but this shit is so fucking confusing it made me fucking mad and then fucking sad I fukcing gave up

Sorry, song by Aussie band Skyhooks… been waiting for a chance to pop this up, tovarishch. ![]()
Let me know if you’re curious about the film clip, I’ll put up a link.
It was 36 years ago though, so cultural appropriation wasn’t much of a consideration. ![]()
That was a good song.
Back on topic AKs suck arse
HAHA
Welcome to gel blaster teching! That is stage four.
Stage 1: Anticipation. You can’t wait to make it better.
Stage 2: Excitement. You begin, and make a start on making it awesome.
Stage 3: Confusion. You try to figure out why it doesn’t work like you hoped.
Stage 4. Fuck this. It doesn’t work. You contemplate selling everything, changing hobbies.
Stage 5. Knowledge. You go about actually learning and figuring it out.
Stage 6 through 9. You try again, learn more, try again, learn more. Finally after learning that you have learnt enough to know that you know nothing… you learn some more.
Stage 10. Joy! You finally get it working. You now know stuff about one blaster.
Stage 11. You get another blaster, and repeat all the steps above for it as none are exactly the same and there are no standards despite the models being similar and the concept of how it works being the same!
Don’t worry… you’d be surprised how often I get a blaster I have done hundreds of very similar that does my head in… actually one is on my bench now that is doing that!
My strategy… time. Leave it until next weekend, gather your thoughts and considerations.
Try again later when the mindset is better. Frustration only stops you seeing the solutions and focusing on the problems.
Sadly though, my other strategy is to try working on another blaster! This weekend I had one of “those blasters” where everything should have been straight forward. It fucked me at the last hurdle some 6 hours in… and now I need to spend another couple of hours on it.
So I moved on to the next one, a smaller job but I claimed victory there!
I am unique in that I always have 3-8 blasters to do, and probably 20 of my own I could do if for some reason I need a quick win to boost morale and don’t have a customer build in the queue (almost never happens!).
100%![]()
It’s amazing how solutions present themselves at 3am when you’re in and out of REM sleep patterns.
Walking away from a problem for a day or two often gives your brain a chance to head off in different directions and find an answer to a sticky problem. ![]()
Alternating periods, of abuse then rewards.
As time goes on, more abuse and grief, with fewer rewards…!
Emotional state tied to that of the abuser…!!
Blasters are a toxic relationship…!!

Complete with coercive control…they control who you see, and how you spend your money…!!

They should come with a warning…!!
I have a solution - dismantle a screw together tacytoys blaster and spread all over the bench. Realise it’s a waste of time and leave it there in pieces so you can’t start dismantling something else. Go and dismantle a car to fix something that works but definitely needs improving. Blaster fix-itis
Almost finished printing, did have to reprint a couple of parts.
Gotta either find or make a grip base cause OP used a metal one, but it’s specifically for a G&G Airsoft M4 and can’t find anything local that looks like it’ll fit ![]()
This one’s gonna be a paint o sand and paint too ![]()
An idea of what it’ll look like
That is stage four.

Ive reconvened a teeange f bught as YZ250 s mokeker today 2015 apparently I concinved him uh oh
Better than a jet sdki ![]()
Think I’m done printing, unless I break something.
Looks to all be fitting alright, except that gap in the handguard, not sure what’s causing that yet.
Next is a proper sand down before primer goes on and still gotta sort out the motor base, need a longer outer barrel too.
Stock was a lot narrower than I thought and kinda looks disproportionate, but that might just be me.
Oh it’s an AR18 if I hadn’t mentioned.
Wow…looks great…!!
L O T S of sanding, in your future…!!!

Have you considered selling stuff, like Parso prints.??
He sells quite a bit of stuff, with various models, and would make a good side income from it.
He’d pay off his printer, in no time…
Then its all jam…
Good way to boost your income, doing something you’re interested in…
Also…
I’m digging the " Black slipper Carry Handle"…!!
Had to do a double take…!!

Better th an I can ![]()
The biggest hurdle is licensing, unless I make the model myself I’d need permission from the original creator in order to sell those prints.
Parso does that.
He gets permission, and pays a commission.
Works for him…
Uh oh somebody not happy. Cleaned the goobermunt this morning. Sorry we down for maintence. Lucky I’m a fitter and turner.
@BME Give them a telling off. Got it done.
Good luck trying to get my super. I do about Mach 2
