Current project on your bench

And I think that’s a wrap

May I present the ADAR-15 aka Tigers Tooth…

Gained nearly 100fps replacing the cylinder head and o-ring Rok graciously supplied with it and an Ausgel 1.18 spring. Tested with Ausgel strawberries cause that’s the closest I had to what the new owner will probably use, even before cutting the barrel and adding the hop-up it had some pretty decent groupings.

Now the next problem…

Didn’t notice how bright the handguard came out too until looking at it assembled inside.

@BME can tell you EXACTLY how many shades of which paint to get the perfect match!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That’s cool. Different :+1:

So took it to a game to give it to my mate, he tried using it in a game and no shootie…

I have a quick look and it’s the nozzle isn’t moving… Gearbox is still cycling and the FCU want giving any errors…

So gave him his money back and gotta pull it apart and see what the go is now :disappointed:

I was test firing it on Friday without any issues too.

Oddly 2/3 of the blasters he brought yesterday failed too, the only one that didn’t break down was the ADAR I made for him a while ago which, was an eventful day.

Whats the saying.?.?

" It aint Gel, if you don’t have to F#$K with it…!!"

Alternating mental states, of elation, and abuse…!!

" We put the BUY…in Bi-Polar…!!"

I’m sure he knows and appreciates, the effort put into it…
You’ll get it working…

So looked at the ADAR today, no nozzle movement can be seen in t-piece, pull upper receiver off, cycle gearbox, nozzle moves…

Held a spare cyma barrel to the gearbox and cycled, everything works as it should…

Put upper back on, cycle, nozzle moves…

Test shoot, works as it should.

Conclusion… NFI…

At least I don’t have to pull the entire thing apart.

That is very weird, though I can say I’ve seen stupider things solve themselves in blasters.

Hopefully it’s a one off thing!

After maybe 3 years of service, my MK8 receiver finally gave up. Lasted longer than I thought. Original build was a full dump on internals - IFP 7075 gearbox, Solink 5 and full IFP/stariver suite, just went straight budget on the externals - found some old Bohan MK8 carcass and told the tech to put everything in there. Tech was crying as he did it cuz I was putting “way too nice parts into a piece of shit” but that’s exactly what I wanted. Now I got an excuse to lay some coin down because why not, life is short.

LongLin (DragonScale) nylon M4 receiver - been hearing this shop making quality nylon receivers in an age where everyone is in the metal receiver race. Gave them a try and they didn’t disappoint.

IFP gearbox, no changes here, just added a blowback mechanism.

In no order:
Silverwings MK16 handguard
Silverwings CTR stock with check riser
Magpul sling ring
Outer barrel stabilizer
Inner barrel stabilizer
Magpul trigger guard
Magpul flip up sights front and back
Emissary handbrake
Magpul thumb rest
Cable clips or whatever they’re called

Before:

and after:

As you can see I goofed up and got the 10.5 inch handguard instead of 9 inch so the barrel is a bit recessed. Already ordered a new inner barrel and outer barrel extender so hopefully that works out.

Also got rid of the hydra mount because I got tired of it, new best friend is the scalarworks monolift.

Unfortunately couldn’t find space to put on the flip up sights. Will update when I finish the in/out barrel and put on the sling.
