So, you see, its all your guy’s fault…!!

I finally “fixed” my SRC Titan 6" revolver. Only took a gentle cleaning of the C02 valve and its 90% good. Hisses a bit for the first couple of ~450 fps shots, but calms down after that.

Huzzah … on blaster sorted, about 15 to go.

Oi! Don’t divert the blame for your obsessive collecting back onto us, @BME

You’re a big boy, presumably with a hairy arse…

Man up, take responsibility!

It’s “Step 1” in the rehabilitation program.:laughing:

Do you want my bank acc number I can help you out

I’ve offered a few times now for Kenworths full of sheep. Oh well only so much I can do…

  :v:

Haha thanks to denial I don’t have a problem!

" its not a problem…it’s a collection…!!"

Its been a minute since I posted on this forum, but I just wanted to post the final product of my M110 SASS.

Shooting pretty hot at about 450 fps on semi (I don’t use full auto since its a DMR), has about a 1-2 foot grouping at 200 feet. I decided to use a metal UBAND hopup, since it worked the best with this build. If you didn’t know already, this used to be a Bohan Ar16. I tested about 5 different more popular hardened gel balls, but somehow the cheap Amazon gells that you get with a stock gel blaster (100k for $20.00 CA) were the most accurate…(and i have no fcking idea how :dotted_line_face: :face_in_clouds: ). They somehow have insane accuracy and range (as I said before, a 1-2 foot grouping of 10 gells at 200ft).

At 200 feet  guess my foot is bigger than yours :joy:

Yeah I really had to double check it myself  however there was virtually no wind that day so it definitely helped

So that is AS as gelballs wouldn’t go that far. Sorry you were not specific in your post. All good my friend :+1:

Intetesting day on the Le Hui MP9…

Keen to up the FPS on these… I have two, one full tactical and one in B&T pistol trim. The pistol is the guinea pig.

Very proprietry gearbox, lots of little parts and springs to go boing on disassembly… and wires routed around the shell which need watching. I would say not for the fainthearted, requires a fair bit of nouse and patience.

Once it’s apart it’s just another inline box however. Lack of quick change spring release is a pain, although the retainer does locate fairly positively in the shell… and reassembly is frustrating with the a/r latch to keep engaged and the cylinder wanting to pop out under piston spring tension, but not impossible. Went back together with a lot of swearing and very surprised to see metal gears in it, bodes well for FPS upgrades.

Short version of the mod, a very conservative spacer of about 10mm on the piston spring resulted in a gain of about 20-30FPS, was sitting around 170-180, is now hitting around 200FPS depending on the gel. A heavier spring transplant isn’t really viable, being a proprietry 9.5mm OD spring.

The upside to that 9.5 OD spring is that short lengths of 9.5mm inner barrel are perfect as a spacer on the spring retainer with no binding or interference issues at all.

Compression was ordinary with the factory o ring and standard AEG o rings are too large, so some investigation on my part needed there.

Next job is to upgrade my primary MP9 with a 20mm spacer… the goal is to get it up around 220FPS or more, a decent enough amount of power from such a short barrelled unit, hopefully should be acheivable.

Might post more detailed photos on the teardown of unit 2 if anyone’s interested. :person_shrugging:

New custom o ring and spring spacer… getting there.

Still some work to do, but that’s a gain of 35FPS. :+1:

@RokSolid no need for you to make time in your hectic schedule for this one, matey. I faced down my fear of the MP9 gearbox and conquered that sucker.

That is a cute little gearbox! Well done mate. I would say 215fps from such a small platform is a good effort, and enough a boost to get it above the hopper fed kids blasters!

There really is almost nothing in that that isn’t proprietary!

Yeah, it’s basically a pistol gearbox in an SMG platform.

You should see the porting on the piston head!

The replacement o ring I had to make from a standard o ring, nothing like it in my kit.

I’m tearing it down again in an effort to improve airseal and try out a few other ideas, I’ll see if I can get a photo of it.

The thing pretty much just an inline box and, like most boxes, once it’s been apart and together again you learn the sequences and it gets easy. :+1:

Just a pain having to juggle the a/r latch and the cylinder under tension while you pop the shell together…

BOIIIIIINNNG! “Ah, shit!!” :joy:

Ill be following this very closely! Thanks for the work log so far.

The 280 fps video, planted the seed…

Maybe, just maybe….

It was a cruel person, who tweaked their chrono readings, to cause madness…!!

I got a new JM MP5k…

With the idea, that it could be pulled down, and mucked around with, with various ported cylinders etc etc… to get higher fps…

The problem is…

All I did was fix up the tpiece , and drop a M95 in…

And it’s doing 250 fps…!!

After what was done, last time…!!
Crazy.!

From a worked, but only 190 fps model…

To new model, new spring and doing 240/250…

Mind you, that’s using ihobby blues…they are a new crowd favourite…

I’ll try the screw on supp, as a barrel lengthener…

JM MP5K with M100 spring and volumetric matched barrel is pushing 290 to 300fps on 11.1v

The short barrel will be the main challenge get power up, asking a suppressor with a longer inner barrel is cheating

Good to see the might have improved since to original batch.

Yeah…this is with the original tiny barrel…

I have always wondered… out of the ‘shell’ MP5k kit…it was doing 270-280 fps.

I had hoped for 250 fps out of the JM initially…

Couldn’t get it first time…now it’s there….

My older one must have the stock spring still in it…it’s very quiet…!!

The M95 is loud…,see what the supp does.

While on the subject of MP5 kits…
@BME can you please measure your suppressor on your SD6?

Found a rear sight… just need some fake bolt parts and a body pin… gearbox and motor… and design and print a can that can hide a hopup neatly.

Good way off but it’s just something I can chip away a couple minutes at a time in between everything else.

My 3d printer has been busy… I’ve spent a couple minutes a week modelling and finally printed a SD6 handguard for the parts of shell I received from you… need length of the can and then at some point I might have to buy one of my LDXs for it… low priority but… something I will need to finish at some point!

Printed handguard is reasonably accurate enough… fits really well and isn’t that weird rubber that may deteriorate. PETG for the win.
