Da Oozie Nine Milleemeda... ( IWI Uzi Gel blaster review...)

Next challenge…

All metal, full cycling, GBB Uzi…!!

280 fps, here we come…

Could sacrifice a wells MP5K gas mechanism…!!

:rofl::rofl::grinning:

All jokes aside… the Uzi is a great little unit.

The Price… AK’s price with boths mags included, cant be beat.

The Build…Solid , sturdy little nylon unit. Mag prime. Bolt cycles. Stock available. Good details.
Not metal, but still good for nylon.
Some Paint covers the shiny plasticy look.

The Performance…As you’d expect…same as Mac-10, Mp-9 etc.
If it can be tweaked to circa 200 fps…that’s as good as its gonna get.

Bang for Buck…good little 80’s repro classic unit.!!

Well made that Mac10 so it’s certainly doable and there’s surely an airsoft one that could be converted.

Agree :100:%

It’s a very cool little unit. :+1:

I must have got a monday blaster…

mine sits around 180-190 fps…on ihobby blues…

Mind you, that is using a 7.4v battery…

Little sling clip is a nice feature…

I might have to get some ihobby blues if they’re getting the numbers up

i think its more the blaster, than the gels…

mine might be a freak build, with tight tolerances ( for now)…

150 seems about the average, OOTB for most…

Makes you wonder if x-force tweaked their test model

:face_with_open_eyes_and_hand_over_mouth::shushing_face::shushing_face::joy:

Luck of the draw, i reckon…

or they found a good one to use.!

Hmmmm… yet to try mine on a 7.4v lipo. Slow ROF though. :person_shrugging:

You never know. Tomorrow job. :+1:

I’ve only got the 7.4v that came with it to try, no 11.1’s that fit anyway…

If only I still had my Thompson…

Dammit

Why did I have to find this in my endless piles of spare gubbins??

It’s an MP9 folding stock plate, complete with detent block and pivot bolt.

Which just happens to be the perfect shape and size for the removable rear plate on the UZI. Attached securely, it would allow me to mount up a folding stock from an MP9… of which I have a spare. A small rectangular slot filed into the side of the receiver and the lockback mechanism is functional. The large hole up in the right hand corner is a very handy sling mounting point.

Something different, and soo tempting… sooo tempting.

It even allows access to the two rear screws when in place, necessary for disassembly.

Must… resist… :flushed:

Ah… who am I kidding? As if…

Doesn’t interfere with the trigger or front handguard at all when folded… it won’t be to everyone’s taste but for me, looks like it’s meant to be there, cool as shit and better looking than the factory stock when extended. Nothing to hit your wrist when it’s collapsed either.

But that’s just me… I like a mash up of blasters, makes them unique.

Cheek weld’s about the same as the MP9, not fantastic but functional. Good use of spare parts too. Totally reversible if I change my mind about it.

Just have to needle file a small slot in the side of the receiver for the stock latch and it’s done. :+1:

Looks good.!!

I like the collapsed look, of the extender…!

But this is a good alternative…!!

Well, the good news is I can still run the factory stock if I want to. :person_shrugging: I now have stock options

The only irreversible thing about this arrangement is the small hook slot you have to put in the side of the receiver… no biggie.

Latches closed very securely. :+1:

Like I said, not for everyone… The thing for me with the factory stock is it banging into my wrist and the substantially longer length when it’s collapsed. When this one’s folded and you’re using it like a pistol it’s like it’s not even there, and only makes the UZI about 2cms longer than stockless. :person_shrugging:

When you get your collapsible stock on we’ll get together and do a comparo. :+1:

Back Deck photo.?

Black looks whiteish-grey…

What have you done.?.?

50 shades of Grey…!!!

We’ll put that down to the angle of the afternoon sunlight, Beemer.

And yes… back deck photo on the photon bending Hadron collider table. :joy:

Interesting chrono readings on 7.4v…

Solid 205-210FPS with a few creeping up around the 215FPS mark. :person_shrugging: So it’s up there with the MP9.

Not surprising though… often see slightly higher FPS on the lower voltage. :+1:

So no respringing just the mod to the barrel length?

Edit: that’s right, a spacer behind the spring…

Don’t mind me

Carry on

:sweat_smile::joy:

It was pretty filthy in there when I stripped it too…

Over use of the ol’ “cream of sum yung gai” in the factory, for sure. Greasier than a Mexican’s beard after a taco dinner. :joy:

Way too much lube in the cylinder, nozzle, everywhere… so cleaning all that out, giving it a light grease and giving the piston o ring a chance to seal would have helped.
