Gel Ball Nobody's nonsense corner

That was a bloke who I came across on another Social Media site and got chatting with through messaging.

I invited him to join the old GBF to share his story because I thought that it was information that the whole Forum could benefit from being a party to.

Some of our early discussions also delved into the Management “Teams” and the shonky shitshow of how the whole Business was being operated … and boy, was THAT an eye opener! :astonished::confused:

Cool can’t wait for more. What are you watching, none of your business be happy

New video day!
This was meant to be a simple review… it will now be at least 3 episodes!

Makes for good content anyway

WOW mate… only halfway through watching this video, and what a clusterfck! :astonished:

Could see that barrel wobble the very first time you pulled the trigger.

That t-piece issue is just inexcusable for a model to be considered good enough to release onto the market.

No radiuses on the metal gearbox.

Horizontal spring retainers.

Bare Male Spade connector on the BATTERY side of the wiring… the list goes on, and I haven’t even finished watching the rest of the video yet!

I thought DB products were much better than this, especially considering their price, but obviously not. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

I had a good chuckle for sure. Made me chuckle. Got the language right too :joy:

I’m still watching, just got to the part opening the gearbox and seeing that tappet delay plate that goes for ETERNITY, WTF? :astonished:

The amount of vacuum that would be applied into the t-piece sucking on the back of the gels would be insane, especially when fitted with a double o-ring piston head!

Just seeing the tappet pin location on the sector gear… correction, gel gears but with that terrible delay plate is insane!

Haha, you got me good there spat my glass of water out. Backfired too

Running on Premium you get that. Blipped the throttle and snatch another gear.

That’s why I love Rok’s videos, just pure natural Aussie language and humour, none of that modern PC censored stuff, just straight up facts and explanations. :ok_hand:

Cheers guys! Had fun making this one
Funniest thing is, I’m not actually disappointed in the blaster! I was going to do stuff to it anyway. Was kinda hoping to do a normal review though but hey it will make for good content!

That delay chip is mental… and so is whoever signed off on it! They are 100% not needed. Best upgrade for a double bell is to remove that and run 11v!

Fun video…

I’m the same, matey. New or second hand, if I get myself a blaster that doesn’t need fettling I feel a little disappointed. :joy:

…and that intro’s a crack up… “The Thing”

That’s true for those of us here who all do the same thing, but I was more thinking of the kids or those new to the Hobby dropping their pocket money on one of these and being extremely disappointed from the get go.
