Would love to take a look at the guts of that suppressor if anyone feels like taking a few pix.
If the internal components are cheap and nasty and you really want to lower the report, you may have better results if you use a baffled system comprised of alternating sized discs of high density acoustic foam.
It’s basically a hollow tube with sections of low density cylindrical foam in it.
Plenty of scope for experimenting there for sure.
But with 300+FPS and soft foam inserts that are designed to work with plastic BBs, you get a much better result and more consistency with harder gels like Goats.
Looking forward to eventually getting one and giving it “the treatment”
Oh, and I’d immediately ditch the less than useful torch attachment… for the price of entry they could have done much better.
This is the adjustable output valve i mentioned in another thread. If you can get your hands on one of these it might be the perfect accompaniment to your latest acquisition.
Thanks for the pic. It looks like acoustic foam at a glance but by combining sections of different sizes as in the photo you will create air pockets for the gas to become trapped in thus further reducing the sound.
According to KM’s tip, swapping out the foam pads for Scothbrite discs works too.
Although with gels you’d have to make sure the centre holes were super neat or they’d be getting shredded on the way through… and I don’t think the “fart flap” tip of taping the end of the supp would work well with softer gels either.
that is why its the first and likely only TM i will get … just as the NBB is unique. That pushed me the extra couple of hunj. Now that ive seen the light though, everything should be NBB !!! GBB feels so bouge and unnessary now.
Surely you dont need an external hammer for it to work? and the Glocks etc would just need to work double action
