Oh yeah, nothing wrong with Pineapple mate!
Family staple was always fried pineapple on ham steaks and still go at it from time to time! 
Or is it just Qlanders who have an aversion to it because they have to live with pineapples as far as the eye can see!

Must admit that they do put pineapple with the beef/chicken satay sticks at the Chinese Restaurant in the neighbouring town, and it’s actually quite nice covered in peanut satay sauce!

Throw a ring of pineapple on my home made beef burger, with beetroot. Good stuff.
Can’t say I’ve tried pineapple in fried rice though.
Pineapple fritters were great too with your fish n chips at a takeaway.
