Is blastermasters.co.uk legit?

Depends afaik. I could be full of it but if they don’t have an ABN or GST registered for our country they can do whatever the hell they like. As it’s like me selling direct to you on facebook marketplace. You can pay me and I can rip you off with no product.

The prominent shops in Aus all have ABN’s and are GST registered.

Not sure about UK. Might be something similar.

I am now very nervous, the online shop blastermasters is still down. I am still waiting for my order, I payed in September more then 250€ for a Gel Rifle. Has Mathew (owner of the online shop) answered anyone in the last days?
Who else is waiting his order?

Best to begin processsing a refund request, through your financial institution…

I just started a claim with the bank already. If the company has gone, there’s no point in waiting. If the company hasn’t gone, then I doubt the items are coming judging from other reviews and the lack of any responses.

Those purchased 3 months ago or more, most bank unable to process a chargeback. I believe they took the money and ran away. I have reported to the police in UK, anyone affected you can report from here actionfraud police uk.

I have noticed their Website is still inoperable and seem to have gone deathly quiet online

Probably rebranding and working to opening another dodgy online “store” :rage:

Not to flog a dead horse and continue posting for no reason, but what do we think has happened here? Was their intention always to con people and hope they would leave it too late to process a fraud claim with their bank? Or did they genuinely try to be a legitimate store and were just inefficient and incompetent? This is the first time I have experienced this and am keen to avoid it again. Their website looked good and their reviews were okay up until I purchased in September. Then it all went wrong!

from the outside looking in it appears they were a scamming people and then feeding them false hope to prevent people bank charge backing a refund for goods not received.

I could be wrong but I believe the two accounts on this thread that claim to have received their order in the past but were waiting to receive their latest were fake accounts created by the seller

their interactions with each other are not convincing to me they are two separate individuals that actually exist in my opinion

on the other hand, if they were once legit, maybe they were a drop shipping website that was trying to deliver the goods but faced custom’s issues in transit and stock was seized, or delays from the manufacturer, maybe even a bit of both and after not being able to deliver the goods and after negative reviews about their business practices of goods not delivered, they threw in the towel and gave up.

I would imagine if they were trying to do it legit and were having trouble getting the stock or stock seized by customs, after having paid for the goods, shipping, overheads etc, they probably went broke and bad reviews would’ve tanked them

which makes you wonder how some of the other low rep vendors stay afloat :rofl:

IF you were a con artist, the first step is to build trust.
Then, abuse it later on.

This happened to a friend of mine, in buisness, ordering stuff from overseas.

So, you start as a legitimate buisness. You sell stuff on the cheap, to become a preferred provider, and build up large volumes of traffic. You honour your lost/stolen warranties promise.

All these things make you no money, but does build up a good reputation/ large customer base, which spreads through word of mouth, and online reviews.

Then, when the time is right…just stop sending, while still collecting money.

You will probably have a window of a few months, to string people along, buy extra time, speak bullshit with no intention of honouring it, outright lie to people, promise the world while delivering an atlas, all the while taking them for a ride. Also, use some DARVO, qhen people start getting angry / hostile/ questioning you…

All too late, do they finally realise they are dealing with a con artist, who has fleeced them, and was always out to rip people off…

Kinda like trump, in the US election cycle now…

Moral of the story, always pay via paypal, with their money back guarantee…

And, dont vote for orange skinned pathological liars / rapists / theives…!!

trust you to bring trump into it

:rofl::joy:

It became pretty obvious early on from the aggressive posturing and threats that they were issuing on here that their intentions were not in the customer’s best interest.

Honestly, when this post first went up they looked as legit as any other company. Website looked very professional, prices seemed reasonable and realistic.

Doesn’t take much these days to pad your profile online though… and that’s what the better scam artists do, lull you into thinking they’re on the ball businesswise.

Unfortunate that people lost money, but at least there’s some small consolation in knowing they’ve been outed for what they are and nobody else is going to pump their hard earned money into that particular dodgy venture.

I’d be giving The No.1 Gel Blaster shop in the UK | GelWeapons.co.uk a go.

Good payment options, good trustpilot rating. Some decent blasters SLR etc been around for over a year.

Blastermasters still offline. Have wrote Mathew Ades serveral times, no answer. This is important for your Bank because my bank needs 3 emails from my side demanding the refund. What has your Bank said to you?

Thanks for the heads up about the three emails needed, I’ve just fired another one off into the void. My bank asked me for more evidence - I linked them to the nonexistent website and these bad reviews and hope that plus the lack of correspondence is enough for them.

Interestingly Mathew has just been appointed to a new company on Companies House as of 01/10/24 so he’s not disappeared. In which case, where is everyone’s refund?

seems likely to me, given that new information, that he’s likely to start another dodgey business under a new name

Same here, please can you help me this guy I’m sure he’s nice but he scammed me effectively of £105.

How do I get my money back.

Tom

I would think your first action would be to contact your financial instituton to attempt a charge back or credit card reversal, then maybe contact the department of your local police that deals with fraud to see how you go about reporting a fraudulent company.

To receive a refund from a bank, you often have to write three emails to the online shop requesting the refund. Due to the fact that we have not received any response from Mathew Ades, the owner of the online shop, and the site is still offline, I would also recommend gathering all affected users to prepare a legal demand to receive our refunds.
