As I’m not up on the fine print, just to clarify, if a retailer/importer/wholesaler want to continue importing AEGs, they need to employ a licensed weapons armourer?
Yes I remember Vas telling me about the so called safety test - one which has not even been fully devised or even tested.
Definitely doesn’t pass the pub test on so many levels - just another deliberate choke point.

Yea and or no.
They need to pass a safety test and have individual serial numbers lodged prior to import or an armourer adding them after before released to the importer.
I’m not all over the finger details but that’s the gist of it.
Automatic models need home affairs approval as well, and that is the big if on them. Many of the safety tests won’t apply to AEGs, so that poses another challenge on top of getting the approval.

I thought exporting parts interstate from Qld was still permitted for the merchant, with only the customer being the one liable if caught?

Only one vendor has Brisbane and Toowoomba shops that ship interstate
Only a licensed armourer can work on a blaster is implied under the federal legislation. Grey area in Queensland for tech work but as others have pointed out an armourer inspection/work is required for import
Isn’t 2002 when a certain producer of tech videos living in Canberra stopped producing as many videos. Blasters were still a grey area in the ACT until that time
Well if XFORCE are prepared to pay for those services, then it sounds like they’re not afraid to pull out all the stops, regardless if it pays off in the long run or not.
As for the rest of the retailers, can only make hay while the sun still shines before the river finally runs dry.
From what I can see on Google there’s only one gel blaster shop in Toowoomba, at least as far as my search has shown

They could get posters made and put up around shops and such.
They doo it for less important things.
Our government passed the absolute stupid laws try to kill off gel blasters after the Bondi incident just to look better that they have done something but not make Australia any safer. An innocent person have been gun down in Sydney recently. Our little brother New Zealand after the 15 March 2019, two Mass shooting in Christchurch which 51 people were killed. They didn’t do anything to kill off airsoft . They clearly know what should be touch what shouldn’t be touch. So are we better than the Our little brother New Zealand in terms of gun laws? Now our government try to crash the second hand property market.
