Need help troubleshooting jingji slr v2

Was using the blaster as usual and suddenly the trigger stops working, but magprime still works. I’m new to gel blasters so what could be the issue?

How old is the blaster, and how many times did it fire before it stopped?

abt 5 months old. didnt count how many times it fired but it instantly stopped without any noticable slowdowns or lockups

EDIT : magprime only works when i rack the charging handle, pulling on the trigger does absolutely no response

Could be a number of things.
Won’t be able to diagnose unless you pull it apart unfortunately.

Do the simple things like make sure battery is charged, test if it works if you switch it to full auto and back to single fire again.

Does the trigger click when pulled? If so its probably the trigger trolley has popped out or that little disconnector thing for semi is stuck.

trigger is smooth, same as before when it was firing normally

Might be a wire come loose somewhere, maybe a solder has broken.

While it could be a broken solder joint or similar, the most common is a terminal has come off the motor or broken. That would be the first place I would look, if it isn’t there it is going to be in the gearbox somewhere.

Or maybe the standard black death on the brass trigger terminals if it’s a few months old and exposed to the banana bender humidity and temperatures :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

thank you for all the responses so far. i took out the motor from the grip and connected the battery with the motor wires still on to see if its a gear problem, but no spin so most likely a switch/electrical thing. ill try looking into the gearbox later

Oh yeah that is probably the second most common behind motor terminals… cyma trigger blocks were famous for it at one point in my “career” teching.

Yeah I definitely don’t have anywhere near the amount of exposure to retailer type teching myself, only coming across this issue with my Home business customers after the release of the CYMA M4’s, then started seeing this issue on a few more newer Blasters as well

Never really seen that black death on any other brand blasters prior to the CYMA M4 CQB’s, but coming from a family of Electricians, it was quite obvious that the materials used in those trigger blocks and selector switches were terrible for oxidation and reduction in the contact surface ability to transfer power :hushed:

Sorry if this isn’t written properly… my brain is having a bit of an off day today

update: took it to a techy and said the issue could come out of 2 reasons,

issues around this part or due to overspin

Don’t know how overspin would stop it from functioning let alone not powering the mag, that’s basically pre-cocking.

If you happen to have a multimeter stick them on the mag terminals (+ usually front) and see if it’s getting power on trigger.

With the way they’re usually wired even if there’s no motor plugged in the mag would cycle cause it’s on a different circuit.

Trigger contacts can get dirty/electrical tarnishing that will stop the motor and mag from working, but should still have mag prime functioning properly.

Over spin has nothing to do with the trigger block or anything else really.

Update: now fixed, turns out there’s tarnishing on the trigger switch plus a debris between the motor and gearset (idk how it got in there)

Thank you everyone for the very helpful responses!

Yes, that tarnishing is exactly what I pointed out as a very common problem.
Can be rectified either by constant maintenance, or replacing it with a better quality aftermarket SHS or similar trigger block :ok_hand:

Another issue has taken place, i think this is similar to this topic hence why i didn’t start a new topic altogether. I noticed that the switch is no longer firing, the same as the symptoms from this topic. And the similarity is the trigger pull is lighter, and both issues happened after firing a couple rounds of semi. Could it be that the switch assembly got off course resulting to the trigger no longer actuating the switch assembly?

If the trigger pull is lighter than maybe a spring has broken? Or the deselector has miss aligned

can you please show me which part is the deselector? sorry im kinda new to gel blasting
