Cheers mate!
I just laughed at my dumbarse watching your vids and thinking…jeez, that’s potato quality footage, then I realised that my settings were on 360DP!
Switched to 1080DP and wow, very good for what I am looking for

Camera footage is 4k30 and saved on an onoard SD card.
Shoot me a PM and will discuss further details and see if my Rabbit Hole bank account can afford it!
Will have to check the batteries and if it still turns on. Haven’t used it in a while. I did put it in a pelican style case.
No worries
My brother has a similar Drone that he purchased on a whim and was looking to get rid of it for the same reason.
Only used it once and is just sitting around with the batteries slowly degrading.
I’m pretty pedantic when it comes to LiPo battery maintenance and proper storage.
Not because it’s hard to buy new batteries if they die, its mainly because I don’t want any mini Chernobyl 's happening in the shed
When I got it I made the mistake of running it indoors.
Bad idea.
Reminds me of when I got my young fella an RC Helicopter for Xmas.
Poor shelf ornaments and stuff on top of the fridge got a good flogging!
Box Stock Lux:
Lux with larger softer crawling rims/tyres:
Lux with some mucking around with the standard suspension components and Portal Axles:
Lux after getting lowered and more scale sized old school Sunraysia rims and sticky INJORA Mud Tyres:
All torn apart at the moment for the gearbox/axles/electronics mods, then will set about narrowing the axles, setting the ride height, painting all the gaudy Alloy/Anodised parts Black and detailing the body/interior to get it looking more like a proper scaled model Hilux rather than the cheap Chinese kids toy that it is!
They’re talking about their dominos lunch pizza order, being delivered…!!
Yeah. Avoid delivery using Cainiao Super Economy Global when ordering from Aliexpress. They get delivered into Oz then been sitting in the airport for over a month
it got walls marked and it cut into my thumb…yeah don’t stop a drone with your hands ok.
I just spent the last hour on eBay requesting a refund for everything from the seller I was getting dicked around with
Was replying to emails and the tracking showing them hopping all around the place, multiple delivery and non delivery notifications… all the run around and constant lack of reliable tracking information gave me the feeling that I was being led down the garden path.
Will see what happens with my eBay requests for refunds, and might still have them delivered in the meantime anyways
Yea I think that is in fact the one. Had no choice in courier was the seller. Likely why it was cheaper by 60%.
Oh well live and learn. Does it come eventually @Wombat ?
Edit: Just checked says Correos Europe which I thought was weird. Then in GBP, then via Turkey. I dunno drop shippers dropping un to others. Waiting for my 10 days to stick my OI WHERE IS IT in.
I was thinking while out the paddock today @DocBob . I have all my upgrades I ordered. Tyres, rims, gearbox, driveshafts, portal axles w/diff, aftermarket Neebrc upgrade brushless TX/RX, motor, light rx, motor mount, shocks. That’s all arrived as of today to my family receive depot.
About all I need is a chassis, which you can get aftermarket alloy, a body, maybe the leaf springs to hold on to the rear diff
Not much left I can think of.
I was thinking the same thing!
With the amount of aftermarket parts and accessories I’ve already received, and just about to go collect more from the Post Office… … even if the rigs that I bought this stuff for don’t show up, I have enough to build my own anyrate!
Lot of builders around the world doing rear 4 link conversions on the MN82’s…so might not need those leaf springs after all!
Oh right, 4 link would be sick. I’m going to look that up right now
Plenty of vids on YouTube mate
Most builders have links to the parts they use in the video description too!
Yea watched one now I’m looking at a custom 3D printed chassis ready for 4 link
These things are great and I haven’t touched a bit yet.
This is bit like my Baja 5B, bought all this stuff used half of it, 5 years later, oh that’s right I got one of those upgrade to replace a busted bit
Actually forgot to mention the fun bit I learned with the 5B was buy your nylon parts in white and you can Rit dye them any colour they have. Why I went orange as the chassis was anodized orange and liked it, found a body was orange and the A-arms and wheels I Rit dyed to match the rest. Black bores me, that’s just me though! Real easy and Rit have the how to on their site. Works on all white Nylon that is not coloured black already.
If you want to make RC shells maybe get a 3d printer to make the buck and a vaccuforming machine to make the shell.
Those 3D chassis look awesome, and especially handy if you know someone with a 3D printer
Yeah I’m getting parts cheaper because they are only available in non popular colours, so are being discounted compared with the popular stuff that’s sold out.
As I stated before, I like the “stock” look, so by painting this GUCCI looking stuff black, it blends in with the rest of the standard stuff
