Hmmm… Needs more fpv
I agree… only ONE though, no more!
White or Chrome Sunraysia’s
I’m leaning towards the Chrome myself on this particular model
Original rims will be getting a coat of the old “battleship Grey” to replicate the original old steel split rims that I had on mine many years ago
Will have to consult with @BME to make sure I get the right shade of Gray first though!
Like the wheels they look mint.
Been nice knowing you
Bloody things almost looks real, gotta say…
Not into the hobby myself, but…
I do have a big backyard doing nothing but collecting barker’s eggs at the moment.
Go on, great fun
Just finished dressing up the '81 Hilux with all its bits in the box whereas the 79 Series LandCruiser has everything but the trayback canopy and some colouring of light lenses to finish, as the canopy 's supplied panels and door meshes etc are a horrible baby shit light brown/cream
So they’ll be getting a coat of dark metallic Charcoal first before final fitment
The old school Sunraysia rims and soft ENJORA tyres definitely look more to scale and period correct than these big hard plastic toy looking units … a cheap simple mod that changes the whole look of the vehicle
Baby shit brown, seems like been discussing that all week
Has been a rather popular point of discussion lately has it not!
That’s good with the reversable rims Docbob. Your white Hilux looks great with that wheel/tyre setup.
The wide track looks goofy to me, a bit wider is ok but some of the videos I’ve watched of others look bit silly.
All part of the fun, mod it to your liking.
I need to see what these rims and axles are like before buying too much more. Can’t find any dimensions or what the rims actually are if beadlock or not. They do have maybe fake stud screws by the looks. Find out soon enough.
Just ordered body lift spacers for it too. $9
I got to slow down, there’s smoke starting to rise from my acc
i find flying anything in RC to be tough since you have the extra dimension.
I do a bit of flying too when I can, around 1 metre wing foamies. Good fun.
the scary bit is when you make a drone go forwards because it has to tilt down to achieve it and i have a feeling that whenever it does that it’s going straight…into the ground like a drone kamakaze.
next it’ll have a large red dot and yell “BANZAI!!!” over a loudspeaker before crashing.
Loved my RC Planes, Helicopters and Speedboats too, especially when they were mostly Balsa Wood Kits and took months to build every single beam and support struts, exterior panels etc.
I haven’t dared done a Google search yet, but one of my most favourite and enjoyable builds was a Twin Hull single seat racing boat complete with scale sized Johnson Outboard Motor slung of the back…it was cool as fck!
UPDATE EDIT: Similar to these, but older late 70’s/80’s design…why on earth did I just google this
i wouldn’t mind a decent scaled RC submarine like the Virginia-class subs.
That’s why I like the space I have, sometimes I get so high in the sky. Hang on a minute I can’t see it oh there it is rapid altitude drop, oh splat
Back to the workbench.
i think there’s a max ceiling for drones according to CASA.
They appear to have standard type tyres fitted so maybe not Beadlocks?
But zooming in, yes they definitely have Beadlock looking screws in them.
