@BME

Good project for you to do on that M16A2. Make it something different.

Looks at gas shotgun…

Looks at hacksaw…
Hmmm…
:anguished::anguished:

Maybe with xyl little moon…but that’s your gig…!

" Were all gonna Die"…

Its not a No…

barrel of shotty is longer in movie , but…whatevs…

Now, how best to attach it.?.?

I reckon they just welded it on, for the movie…

pretty good faux wood…especially for the grip…nicely weighted.

Don’t know about welding but likely glued on, looks like a bit of a ring under the front sight be part of prop armorer mod.

Definitely not like this

That shottys got a pic rail right. What about a small scope ring, maybe packed to clamp on to the barrel under the handgaurd, cut the handgaurd bottom out to clear that, and Bobs your uncle  :man_shrugging:

Something like this maybe, get a pic rail joiner. Hack all the superfluous stuff off with a grinder.
Tactical Barrel Mount Weaver Picatinny 7/8" 20mm Tri-Rail Rifle Scope Mounts | eBay
or this
Universal 20mm Weaver Picatinny Rail Base Adapter Converter Barrel Scope Mount | eBay

You bought a XYL Little Moon?

Please don’t glue it on. :joy: What Maiphut suggested is a good way. Personally I’d hack up an M4 carry handle and use the base of that.

What’s the US Marine Corp motto?

ā€œAdapt, improvise, overcomeā€

You wouldn’t want it any longer… the length of pull on that M870’s mammothly long as it is. :+1:

Have you had one of the little moon’s before…?

Shame about the box mag…its otherwise a pretty funky little unit…

Solid pump, good wood, i’ll paint off the white decals soon, ala M-79 style…

Two barrels internally, so 'ill see how it performs…

I’ve had my eye on one for a while… I hear they go alright and pretty solid build too. :+1:

But the mag’s a bit of a deal breaker for me… if you could mod it to flush fit it would be a great little thing. Like the mag in my M24… totally invisible when it’s in.

Ironically, the worst performing M870 is the most user friendly for under mounting… the ol’ Bing Feng with the front loading spring loaded magazine. :man_shrugging:

Maybe open it up and see if there’s anything structural or critical underneath all the gubbins for holding on the grip. Would look neat without it.

 I had to…

Great movie… one of his best. :+1:

Curious if the m97 shotty would be better suited for it but being a top loader i don’t think would be functional, just astetic

Plus the grip would need to be chopped, would probably solve the length issue tho, not sure the removed grip would look overly nice after hacking it off

Edit: On second thought after seeing them side by side, doesn’t suit at all

Maybe the m90

I thought about an M97… even had a look at it up against an M16.

Couple of issues… it’d be impossible to load when it’s under the M4 being a top loader without taking it off and it’s a fair whack longer than an M870.

Yeah as I said earlier, the Bing Feng M870 is the best candidate with that front loading magazine arrangement and half decent capacity.

Keen to see what BME comes up with using the XYL. It’s a much more solid blaster than the BF, for sure.

Everyone needs to realise that what’s happening here in WA is a real threat to other States in Australia, because this is just a foot in the door for possible Law changes to follow for other State/Federal Governments.

As I said ages ago, they will just keep tightening the noose until there is none. I’ll see it in my lifetime. :man_shrugging: Might move to Finland where they promote firearms ownership and have all the toys.

Qld WLB already started refusing certain calibre PTAs and there isn’t even a regulation/law/act or whatever to justify them doing it.

WLB trying it on with the new Minister. Fortunately he’s said there’s no need for anything to change and has no intentions of limiting access to higher calibres. They wouldn’t have tried it with the old minister who was an active shooter

Never had to even register firearms in Queensland until 96.
