This too, new clap trap AK’s. Interesting with the nitriding, did a fair bit of that back in the day for machinery parts and what he says is consistent with what I knew/did and why we used nitriding. Sounds like the 5.45 is pretty accurate and the rest same ole potatoes

I have to retrain myself when they change the laws, upgrade, and something very important is coming up in 2 months I’ve got a close eye on.

Used to do club pistol shooting H class(in my state) which was great fun 9mm, .40 Glocks, Taurus, Desert Eagle 5 oh, all the good stuff including wierd and wonderfull things like a AAA Leader 9mm that was registered as a pistol no problems. Australian built
I’ve gone back to basics, A and B as I’m more work focused that takes time. Mates say oh you can get your C class and get a 10 shot semi auto 22. I am already registered as a Primary Producer through SAPOL with my ABN and as a reason to have my A’s and B’s. But to have something like a ten shot Ruger 10-22 that I have fired millions of rounds through in the past you need to get an annual affidavit to qualify, monitored security system 24/7.
Just not in my budget these days man. Bolt action will do for me

Thanks for all that, im just looking at my A&B myself as it seems the most common road to go down for it since it can get you both rim and center fire rifles and some shotguns (one thing im still trying to figure out honestly) and not have to pay money to yet another club and deal with doctors and their needs for a supporting document for a cat c to get a diffrent shotgun
Im not even daring going near a pistol licence with all its requirments to have one up here.
Honestly what would you even need a 10 shot semi 22 for? unless your taking out a ton of rabbits that are just standing around and cant hear you i doubt there would be any need with some of the ones ive looked at taking a magazine so you just one or 2 from the shop and your out pacing a semi auto with enough practice and rounds through it without the dealing of all the extra stuff through the cops and extra money.
