The Abbey stock finish works well on it :+1:

I’ll ask at bunnings.
Someone there will know, and do a small sample area first…

where do you get that from.?.?

You could look at boiled Linseed oil I’ve used in the past with great success. Rub the timber down bare and apply coats of it via cloth and rub it in until you get the hue you are after.

I’ll get you some links to the product soon.

In the video, Vas said to use a gas with No Lube, for the Kar98…

Apparently, the lube gums up the (very small) reservoir, and lines…

Is that the case…,?
What have you guys used.?

When I used mine I had no problem with green gas containing silicone oil. Even the accuracy was good.

I use it without any trouble :+1:

Does it make a big difference, to fps…?
Vas was getting 400+ in his vid…

Is green gas lower.?
( i know accuracy decreases, but, nephews need welts.!!)

I think I remember @The_General saying they used a CO2 adaptor so that could be a decent choice over green gas?

Nope. I was able to nearly break skin with a point blank shot on basic green gas. Easily 400+

I’ve also used regular green gas without any problems

Close to 500fps. And its tiny compared to hauling a massive can on the field

But, as for accuracy, forget it. Shoots all over the place :disappointed:
Maybe has something to do with the end of inner barrel being approx 32mm inside the end of the outer? So, obviously the hopup that comes with it doesn’t do much :grinning:

Those are some DAMN impressive raw numbers, and the consistency is pretty laudable. I wonder if one of those LDT MP5 style IB hopups might help with the accuracy?

Might be a bit high in fps not helping, inner brl dia VE or something to try if you want.
