Kriss Vector V2 with all original accessories and a double drum mag to boot… 3 X lipo batteries as well. $50 and ten minutes from my place.
Found the fault… just a flat lipo, working 100% with a charged one. Oh my lord… still, will need an o ring, alloy barrel and spring to make it servicible… maybe a metal blackout kit. No complaints about that!
So FB Marketplace has provided me with a faultless Jinming ACR and a complete LeHui KV V2 for the meagre sum of $90 over the past week. Better get in quick before the ABC news service puts the mockers on that avenue of purchase.
Proves you don’t need a ton of bread to enjoy this hobby if you keep your eyes peeled.
DISCLAIMER : No pizzas were harmed in the process of purchasing this puppy.
It’s nearly same as the LH AUG that I went ahead and did Z’s 2nd fet rewiring idea he had if you remember that.
It works and still to this day. Of course I got paid out for my supposed sloppy wiring job whatever don’t think anyone else tried it or were game enough to mention it. Still works today so must be all right
Are we talking about the secondary FET wiring Z was infamous for? The EasyFET?
So it protects the FC FET as well?
Wiring schematics might as well be Egyption heriogliphics to me, man. Definitely my Achille’s heel. Z tried to dumb it down for me several times on the old forum with zero success.
Seems my brain doesn’t fire on all cylinders when it comes to electronics.
I usually whimp out and just stick to 7.4v on any MOSFET equipped Le Hui.
Yes it was but not the EasyFet. One you bought from jaycar. I wouldn’t recommend trying it, took me ages and I blew his thread up, but hats off he did still give me all the diagrams and bits of knowledge and I got it done.
I can split it and show you a pic but I think Pizza looks better
Go with the T238, I’ve got a few of those I still haven’t put in(if it aint broke don’t fix it). Afaik they are a better solution if you want to up to 3S. But if you stick to 2S you are mostly right.
Pretty sure it was just a sideline as a hobby he was interested in as he mentioned in our chats ages ago. Not his mainline business.
I remember MK saying he did limited runs as he made the H92 hybrid and they were just not selling and that’s not good business and something he had to wear. Bit of a gamble on his part, which I understand.
Likely just busy doing the main business instead. Don’t know.
The T238 fet is the go for vectors.
I found using a decent battery and making sure not to run it too long made them last well even on 11v. Bit of a challenge given the limited battery space in them.
If you are using it outdoors I recommend the fixed metal buffer tube attachment, you actually get more room than on an m4 as there is no screw and washer holding it in the buffer tube just threads in the adaptor.
I still have the first one in working order, it copped a thrashing on 11v with m90 for over a year…but it is a spare as I replaced it with a t238.
Ooh… I have a spare buffer tube and a Defiance stock sitting in my box of gear… might look into that tomorrow.
Although I do really like the ergos of the folding skeleton stock.
Toying with the idea of going 100% cylinder, longer inner barrel with an integrated hopup into the suppressor.
Then again… maybe not. But definitely a 14mmCCW thread on the end of the outer barrel. These look awesome with a stubby barrel and knurled cap on them.
All three lipo batteries that came with the Vector won’t charge up, so my guess is the guy ran them down to nothing and cooked them. I’ll have to put the multimeter on them to see what’s up.
There was a charger in the box but it’s one of those crappy basic ones that don’t balance the cells.
Off FB Marketplace in the past few weeks I’ve picked up a CYMA M4 CQB for $70, an ACR for $40 and a Vector for $50. All of them were listed as not working, all worked fine, just had flat lipos.
Keep checking the listings, act fast when you spot a deal and you can pick up a bargain, for sure.
Yea that wouldnt surprise me if the cells are dead and unbalanced, am starting to watch market place but will have to pick and choose at what i get since money is a bit tight after my airbrush adventures.
Amazing how many people treat LiPo batteries the same as ordinary EVEREADY corner store batteries, running them right down until they stop, then throwing into the corner until they eventually go to try and charge them up again for the next time they go to use them.
It’s a 50/50 split between Gels or Batteries when it comes to diagnosing new players issues in this hobby, due to nothing more than being too lazy to learn what is required to operate them properly.
If you keep up with the Spacebook Marketplace purchases @Friendly_Fire , you gonna have the ABC banging on your door!
I’ve bumped in to that before as they don’t have low voltage cutoff and the sibling gets on the trigger too long, Dad the batteries flat . Lipos can’t be ran to zero. Li Ions can but bit iffy in success rate of bringing them back up. But the multimeter will tell all once you put it on the balance lead to see individual cell voltage. But you’d know all this methinks
Like Ghostbusters, don’t cross the streams when checking from the balance lead
