This is only a mock up.

Will need to take the rear sight off, to get it to fit properly.
Fettling reqd, to align properly and glue in.

Colour is a reasonable/ acceptable match.
maybe a touch more smoke, to darken it slightly…

50 shades of silver…
Hi Ho silver away…!!! ( when smoke does its thing!!)

Laser is a little loose in the mount, maybe some masking tape on the inside to firm it up. ( Giggitty!!)

Then, see how it attaches over the factory mount.
The kit includes a cut down set of grips, if you want to lose the top 1/3 of the left grips.

Let the paint dry, then glue it up…

Interesting…

Pretty cool looks good to me. :+1:

" whats this We buisness, white man…??"

Good ole loyal Tonto…!!

There’s no I in me :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

one more thing you need to be done : change the thumb safety to a short one without extended edge because the original one will interfere / obstruct the mounting of the laser mount onto the grip (see my gun’s thumb safety)

The rear sight should not need to be remove to fit the mount. There could be other ways to make it fit (but anyway I don’t know much about the resin kit)

My new finished project : a green Glock

Got a AAP01 about Oct last year, hadn’t done much to it due to time but recently was able to get it dressed up a little. Have a few upgrade parts for it (Trigger, recoil kit etc) but haven’t put them in yet as its working nice most of the time how it is.
How it is, is a AAP01 with the Ruger style grips, Ive added a 200mm barrel, has a hop up unit that I don’t generally use and a fake can (suppressor) on it to act as a barrel shroud/cover to stop me knocking the extra length of barrel about.

Its a bit like my missus, loves hard balls, it shreds anything else. The gel balls have been the bain of my gel blaster owning existence so far and that’s only since Oct 25.
Wanky accuracy and reliability all because the laws here for toy guns are so over the top crazy. Im still getting my head around it all.

Sorry enough chatting, here’s some pics.

Cardboard target with the 10c piece is what it can do when all the dominoes fall my way and I hold my tounge on a ridiculous angle and the luck God smiles on me. Have had a few tighter but then when I’ve annoyed the Luck God it can be dinner plate size groups. Done at 7m as that is my testing zone that I have, safe and out of sight.

The green knock down plates have not been to successful, the plate pushes down on the hinge a bit and 50% of the time the balls just shatter on the plate and hardly move it. Plus some of the hinges are too tight where I placed them next to the black base plate and they rub tightly against the plate and don’t drop. Work in progress still on those drop downs. I made some back in NZ for airsoft and they worked a charm. But solid ball vs shatter ball type of thing going on here.

Sorry if I’ve posted in the wrong place, I’m a bit of a tech delinquent and don’t use the computer as much as I should to learn it more. Id rather be out banging away with a bang stick.

Have fun, keep safe.

Excellent write up mate and well done on everything you’re doing.
Yeah, Gels are the biggest PIA in this hobby, which takes a lot of work going through different brands/hardness types/growing times and plenty of trial and error to find the best results for every single blaster in the collection.:face_exhaling:

Good to see that you are soldiering on and enjoying the hobby!

Thanks DocBob.

Growing gels is a bit like reloading. Lots of trial and error then you hit the jackpot and find a load/weight that all combines with your guns twist and you hide it away in your little black book so you can beat your mate at competition, but your mate has been reloading for years before you and always seems to have the edge on his loads lol.

But I have found that distilled water seems to give more solid results with gels than the stuff coming out of my old pipe. I usually have some left over after Ive put a home brew on.

But I’m enjoying it as much as it is a frustration. Just hope somehow we can keep the sport/hobby going. Its great for the mental health when a tight group comes together after much effort and time.

Cheers.

Ah nice a fellow lead slinger/reloader :+1:

Yep distilled/rainwater I’ve had best consistency with for sure compared to the poo tap water gave me varying sizes with fluoride and chlorine in it.

Reloading is very therapeutic. Tweak it, ah there it is, 7.62mm in 3/4" at 100 yards. That’ll do it :+1: :v:

I need to do a batch, desperately soon. Nearly out with all the vermin coming in due to 2 years of drought. Today I made my business plan, yep it’s going to be worse than 2025.

Sounds like fun…

Yes, shame we can’t get the WE Tech. And the grips on yours are timber?

yes, they are real wood.
yes, we can’t get the WE Luger because Tactical Edge Hobbies didn’t capitalise their Tactical Edge on WE products.
