Maybe the TS 83 might do the trick. Metallic silver

To get close to what I’d like. Then source it. Lots of options. Few there that must be close.
I’ve thought about getting this one and breaking out the airbrush kit…
But I’m just not into my movie props that much… I’d rather spend $30 on new strings or an Oak Grigsby switch these days.

Very quick start, on the SG09…
sanding / priming… first coat…first pics…
Just the slide and receiver.
Upper slide is the (expensive) Ts-83 metallic silver.
That gave a good finish…but you can see tiny speckles in the paint.
I put Ts-79 semigloss clear on top…
that dampens the silver down, just a touch…but gets it popping.
Blends the speckles in, flattens the colour, and gets it looking a bit more realistic looking…
as opposed to just shiny new metalic paint.
Lower frame…Dymark flat black. Semigloss to come when dry…
That is one of the more expensive paints. Must have real silver in it or something
More expensive was renewing my drivers licence and other bills, ouch.
As long as you are happy with it, looks good to me

its pretty hard, to get plastic to look like metal…
but, this is getting there.
The SG9, has a “lighter , whiter” metal slide…so this fits that category.
I got a can of ts-76 mica silver…more of a grey-ish metal finish.
i’m gonna have to start keeping a paint diary…!!

KEle got stripped, cleaned, dried, primed and hit with TS-83 metalic silver…

Pretty close.
Only a few hours dried, touch dry so not properly assembled yet.
I have the green goop over the sights, when thats removed, they’ll still be black and exposed.
The finish on metal is much better…no 3d printed lines and marks highlighted.
ihobby still have (non kele) manual USP’s for $100…
Just needs a black front moderator, and can pass for a HL2 pistol…
im sure someone can 3d print up a HL2 moderator…
Okay… paint dried, and reassembled.!
Im pretty happy with it…
Goop off the sights, black sights revealed.
A bit of touch up final paint, with a super fine paint brush reqd, to get straight finish lines.
The final paint effect works better on a metal base…
the 3d prints, show up every little surface flaw, with the gloss metal paint…
unless you wanna spend a LOT of time filling / sanding…
The blaster i used was from ihobby.
Cheap, at $100…but a little more muted.
That works in this paint scheme.
I didnt paint over my KEle USP, as it has more markings / details on it…
More stampings, white outline on the USP slide, details on the safety…and i painted the red on the grip.
I do like the two tone… it is a cool effect…lets see if i can find a 3d printed moderator, to turn it into a HL2 pistol…!!
Interesting final points, for HL2 conversion…
its all about the black tip, bordering the silver slide.
The SG9 kit has a tip…which Almost fits properly…
You could just paint it black…
getting it to fit, would be…interesting…
speaking of interesting…both pieces were prepped the same…metal slide/ 3d print.
both primed with tamiya primer, and same paint used.
Why is it, both colours ended up differently.??
I would have thought, same primer base, same surface results…no colour difference.?
Or, is it the unevenness of the 3d print, causing an imperfect flat finish, to reflect light at different angles, hence the differing final finish.??
Maybe it just needs a visit to @Friendly_Fire 's back deck to sort it out…!!

This would actually be very simple to do.
Pull it all down…paint it all matt black…cut stock down to arms at correct length…paint them silver…
The BF end cap, already has a recessed hole, where a 2nd barrel could go through. Araldite in place, and cover with some custom pipe.
Bog / fill / sand extra screw holes, for the flat smooth appearance…
The mag…cut it short and glue up. It wont work, just be a place holder.
Use a real mag, for firing…
