Hmmm…
repair aint so great.
outside the magwell, its ok.
Inside, there are some fore/aft loads.
Bending pressure…starting to bend.
I suspected as much, from a tiny gripping area.
I’ll take it to jaycar…maybe they can do a hot pen repair.?
I tried running a lighter up and down the sides…
Failing all that…internal repair, for aesthetics only until i get a new mag.
splint it from the inside.
Get a metal rod ( drill bit) and araldite it in internally.
remove the mag spring and follower, lay the drill bit down, and araldite in the splint, to join upper and lower…
this would stop it functioning as a mag, but brace it for aesthetics until a ne mag arrives…
Moral of the story…beware the big mag release…!!

I didn’t get to have it for one day…!!!
But…got it temp fixed…as a aesthetic repair.
Functioning mag no longer…but i dont think there is any glue which would…
Hold it all together, over such a small area
Resist bending loads
Stand up to the shock and stresses of firing rattling…!!
New mag required…time for a aesthetic fix, to hold me over…

Its great having a bunnings 5 mins away.
pic of the broken mag…
Clean break. High capacity mag too… it will hold a lotta gels.
Compared with elec mag.
Of course, you’d need to figure out how to transplant a battery…but i digress…
Thankfully, bunnings had small, square shaped dowel.
By curious coincidence and grateful happenstance, two pieces of dowel side by side…
exactly fits the internal width of the magwell.
cut to size, to correctly fit the upper…

So, the lower part of the mag, timber is visible from the front.
I joined the two pieces side by side with tape.
Just enough wraps, so its a VERY tight, friction fit.
Very hard to push the top on…it acts as retention for the upper.
No glue required.
Paint the lower half…

Taped in the middle, repainted…
Nice n tight…
Split visible from the side…but not visible when inserted.
front view
And… now it’s working as a aesthetic mag only.
At least its solid, and one sturdy piece…no bending.
This mag for display…elec mag for firing.
It would be cool to do a battery transplant on a new extended mag…
you’d probably get 40+ shots, out of a EBB…!!
Bloody Mag Release lever…!!

Gonna need to replace the mag eject button spring with an M110 !
Yeah… I was going to suggest beefing up the spring on the mag release.

the trouble is… the mag spring is a small, custom spring.
its a piddly little U spring, which sits in a slot, on the inside of the blaster.
Not a lot you can do…

Okay… mystery of the laser, sorted.
The 2 underneath screws are dual purpose.
Open the battery box, and then screw down to tighten the laser onto the rail.
With the laser off, I pulled it down, took the batteries out ( no corrosion), and just screwed it all down fully tight.
This screwed the clamp down too far, and hence wouldn’t slide on.
My bad… it’s actually a good design.
its a rip snorter of a laser, powered by 3 LR44 batts.
adjustable as well.
Worth its price of $22.
The whole kit, with the laser, is exceptional value.
About $62 for the kit and laser ( excluding postage).
The grip in particular is very well made…fits well, great detail and texture…you’d swear it was factory made.!

Also, by happy coincidence…
with the laser fitted, the Sentinel fits onto the requiem revolver stand.
i Dont need a spirit level, to tell me its pretty damn straight.!
The mag fits into the recessed revolver recess, and the laser balances on the forward bar.
Parso can produce these, at negligible cost, so that’s a win…!!

Yep, you can… sounds like the same arrangement as a Vector.
It can still be beefed up by using thicker spring wire… or re-routing it. I did it to my KV and it worked really well. No more accidental mag drops.
There’s always a way… just depends on how much of a problem you think it is.

Hmmm…
this one’s all back together now…i think i’ll leave it that way.
Next one, when its apart…might have a try then.
Bending wires is orthodontist work… they can tell you how much fun it is…!!

You don’t have to be an orthodontist to bend up a U shaped spring.
Anyone telling you that you do is probably an orthodontist.

i remember doing it in dental school…
lots of fun…not…!!
trying to get the bends lining up/ aligning properly…!!
Dentistry: a entire profession, with as much fiddly frustration as blaster tech…!!
