What…???

The Robocop kit, demands a smooth, round bottomed, black model…

Ooops, is that too woke.??

“you have 20 seconds to comply”!!

An interesting take, using the gen 1 slide and rail…

The rubber grips fit, on this one (as opposed to DB)
The matte black, fits in with the matte black of the gen1 rail and mod.
The rail covers the lower text, so its not excessive…

The green grips, do look cool…and finger contoured.
Grind off the front slides sight, and use the one on the moderator…

I reckon it looks alright…

That does look good, a perfect match with the blacks. :+1:

The green grips look different but I’m kinda partial to the brown and black STARS grips on your Berettas… probably due to my prolonged exposure from looking at them. .

This is just a mock up.
Got the beretta, for the robocop kit.

It is a Nwell, but it wont get a lot of use, and they reckon they’ve fixed the leaks on the new models. Should last me, long time

Better than a manual KEle, for a base blaster.
The robocop kit should cover the lower text, as per the burton slide.

I might even order a 2nd gen1 rail and mod, and you can then swap over , as the mood takes…

A slightly extended mag, would be good…not quite as long as the burton.
Close matching grips will be hard to do…might have to stick with DB standard blacks…

Unless, they sell a/soft grips somewhere…

That’s the Nwell in the pics with the green grips?

How does the finish on it compares to the DBs? From photos I’ve always thought they’re classier looking.

I’m so behind trying to catch up on all of these different threads and conversations :pensive:

@shadow187
In regards to the leaky gas mags, it’s definitely recommended to do a test submersed in water to locate the leaks.

I can’t remember specific details of which brands/models had these bad mag leak issues, but it turned out to be the seals in the gas chamber sections themselves that were leaking and not the valves at all :astonished:

The gas mags were made of a one piece middle chamber, but had upper and lower end caps that were “sealed” by rubber bands that were causing the leaks

Was easily fixed by disassembling and fitting/gluing new rubbers in place to properly seal the dodgy mass produced factory seals :+1:

Thanks Doc,

I’m having to put off doing anything with my blasters for the moment while I finalise the move, exit condition report, keys hand back and then I’ve gotta start sorting through all my crap n clear out the big shed at the new place cuz the majority had to go in there while a bunch of electrical issues n stuff got sorted,

all my fish are still in buckets with air pumps for a week now :rage: due to the no electricity at the new place and too busy moving all my stuff and cleaning the old place, only just got my fkn fridge moved in tonight after I left for work my brother brought it over, apparently now my neighbourhoods powers out, hopefully that’s sorted before tomorrow

only getting one night off work again this week so it’s Gunna be a long and painful process getting everything sorted… haven’t even shit a gel blaster since last Saturday so I’m itching to have a few shots :face_with_spiral_eyes::joy::rofl:

nevertheless I appreciate everyone’s help to troubleshoot the issue, got some O rings on the way to try n reseal the magazine leak, by the time it gets here I may have time to get it sorted, fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:t2:

meanwhile I’m on the hunt for a new blaster to scratch my itch :joy:

I can totally relate to the house moving clusterfck mate, and all the bullshit dealing with various corporate bodies who have been giving you a hard time

Hopefully in a few weeks you will be able to sit back with a beer and a blaster and look back on it all as just a shitty memory :sunglasses::+1:

not supposed to drink with my condition but fuck it, I’ll be cracking a couple cans of rum or bourbon n having a good old crack with the blasters once I’ve got my shed cleared out for my firing range.

might have to print out a life size photo of the property manager for the mannequin :face_with_peeking_eye::shushing_face::joy::rofl:

Seek, and ye shall find…

I grabbed one of these from ebay.

Looks to be a VERY good quality kit, all the moving parts, for a static prop.

Assembly and painting required…but it looks to be 100% perfect.
And, potentially, a source of correct grips…

B709 time (even though i dont think you’d really need one)

Yeah, its a Nwell.

Finish is good, action is smooth, A DB mag fits into it, but doesn’t fire.

A LOT of laser engraving, but either the Burton bar, or the robocop front piece will cover the lower etching, making it a bit more subdued.

And the rubber grips fit properly and easily…the DB’s are just a bit wider.
Not an issue for single sided grips, but wraparounds rubbers just dont fit it properly…

I’ll show you, next catchup session…

And, seriously…check out the above sellers " Other items"

That’s Traywick, I’m sure I posted it few weeks ago thought it would interest you. Got lost in the flurry of weskers and burtons  :+1:

Seems as though every time we build something different a commercially available option pops up…

I reckon we should put together a hit list of impossibly unavailable blasters that aren’t even in production, start building them, and if Murphy’s Law rings true they’ll be on the market in a month!

The saga of the shitty leaking Double Bell mags continues…

I thought changing the base seal would do the trick, but first fill leaked out overnight and left me with no gas in the mag.

The problem is that DB use a round o ring to seal a square joint. Set up to fail and that plus the two retaining pin holes aren’t in the correct location to guarantee pressure on the seal.

Last night I pulled the base, thoroughly degresed everything and reassembled with a bead of 5 minute epoxy around the sealing area. Gotta fix it, right? Nope… still leaks around the base at the front near the spring. Last ditch attempt this morning was to flood the leaking area with CA.

Bloody shame, because if DB went to the trouble of producing a dedicated square base seal instead of saving a buck by using whatever’s at hand there’d be no issue.

P.S. CA did nothing at all, so mag’s apart again, cleaned up, new o ring and a liberal application of 5 minute epoxy. If this doesn’t work it’s WE Tech magazine time, 100%
