So, Who Wants a B.B.C. ..?...(Or, Fake it, till you make it!)

I have ordered, a burton base mag extender, from HK.

As part of that, when ordering from their websites pictorial, the orings appear to be rectangular.

look at 97, and 99

Lets see if they are, when they arrive.
They might be so, as my WE tech mags never leak, and ive never pulled a base off.

My converted DB does leak semi regularly, pull the base off, pull the oring off, big lube, and back on. Then its fine…for about a week…

Looks like WE Tech got it right… :+1: you shouldn’t have any problems with leaks there.

Eventually I’ll be buying spare mags for the Taurus and they won’t be Double Bell.

I’m going to try ordering a upper slide (engraved stars),
And a couple of silver outer barrels (non flaking).

I’ll get a couple of the orings, 97 and 99, as well.
I’ll see if they fit, and let you all know…
If they fit on DB mags, it might solve the problem properly…

This second attempt at sealing the DB mag seems to have worked… so far.

The downside is, it’s semi permanent. If the spring in the mag corrodes or breaks it’s a bit of a pain in the arse to pull apart again. Can be done, but a bit of a bear.

It’ll be interesting to see if the WE Tech seal fits into the DB… that’ll be your easiest fix, for sure. Talking to a few in the know and apparently leaking from the base is a super common problem. My G17 mags are DB and they’ve never leaked.

DB really dropped the ball on these Taurus mags. :man_shrugging:

How does the NWell shoot? Should be pretty grunty with that Co2 cartridge, and you can always get green gas mags for them from CEH.

I haven’t tested the Nwell yet…
Jobby for this arvo…

I’ve been jet skiing, and painting, this morning…

I saw the green gas mag, too…

But having high hopes for Nwell…
Well…

I’d like to test one first…

Or, have a conversation with ihobby…
Any leaks evident in the first 30 days…I want a full refund…

The DB mag is now gas tight. Makes me feel like riverdancing…

Filled it up last night and left it overnight in the Beretta… still full this morning. :+1:

It’s a pretty extreme workaround, but at least it’s a backup course of action if the magic seal from WE Tech proves ineffective. :man_shrugging: Good to know.

@BME You were wondering what the Taurus barrels look like stripped and just polished alloy?

Hard to see in the pics, and there’s a little more polishing to do but you’ll get the idea. Looks good on a basic black Beretta, no other silver near it, but it would look weird beside a plated slide.

The allloy’s pretty soft, polishes up fast… but how long it retains a shine is going to be the test. Ah well, if it dulls up really quickly it’ll be back to black again. :+1:

So cool to see a RE beretta, made so easily…

A major chain, should really bring in a whole batch of grips…
They’d sell out of DB’s, and grips, super quick…

Looks like some mail order mob, has beat me to it…

They are selling, the Vanilla MLF elec blow back beretta M92,
Fitted with RE grips, and a RE engraved metal slide…!

That price though…phwoar…!!
All for 180 fps…

Obviously, cheaper to order the MLF seperately, then bring in your own grips/slide…

A set of RE grips, and a RE slide, would cost just over $100…

Still, it looks like the RE slide, does fit onto the MLF frame…

It’d be cheaper to take a Taurus slide to an engraver and have the S.T.A.R.S. bizzo put on it.

I have actually thought about doing just that with mine because the slide’s blank… no logo or stamping at all.

i’m having a crack at bringing in a gen1 black RE slide, just by itself…

Lets see how that goes.
It was $50 US, from memory…
probably cheaper than an engraver…

And the genuine slide, has gripping serations, at the front as well…

I literally just watched a Youtube clip of a guy who made a real steel Samurai Edge Beretta from a standard 92FS.

He bought a Brigadier slide for it and got the engraving done… also the grip serations on the front of it. Added custom S.T.A.R.S. grips from DS Grips.

He also said he loved to spend money.

You can also buy these for $10 apiece on ebay… same size as the grip logo.

Lottsa potential there.

Righto….time to get a cat H license….
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

This guy from turkey, sells grips for real steel, with the blue emblem…

They look pretty good…

Also…
Grab a denix Hi-power, and fit these to it…

These would look great, on a M92…

How about these, for a P226…?

Farkin ell $200 for a pair of grips :open_mouth:   I’ll leave that for some other turkey

I’ll just leave this here :face_with_peeking_eye::joy:

I know they’re expensive…

I put the RE Stars grips, in my watchlist, out of interest…

He just offered me a 30% discount…!!

That makes them a bit more reasonable…

just teasing dude, no judgement. if you can afford it, why not? The results speak for themselves. they look dope

Ya gotta get a grip, BME! :exploding_head:

No really… ya gotta get more grips!!
