I can’t even remember if I’ve ever purchased from ihobby.
I think I have ![]()
if I have I didn’t have any issues with my purchase otherwise I’m sure it would’ve been more memorable ![]()

It may be that x-force didn’t buy in as larger quantity direct from the supplier and hence cost them more so they’ve adjusted to cover their overall costs and overheads
Who knows ![]()
Ihobby is a main importer…that also sells to the public.
Most retailers, get stock from ihobby.
Other onselling retailers, can charge whatever they want.
joe random, off the street, walks into north lakes and grabs a mp5k.
They dont know about ihobby… they just buy what they see.
anyway, they are all in buisness to make a buck…
which is getting harder as the market shrinks, and cost of living bites…
cant blame em for trying…i just pays to be aware and discerning…
Bingo ![]()
I’ve bought plenty of gear from iHobby, never had a bad experience with them. Honoured every warranty claim with no issues… not that I’ve made many of those.
They’re really no better or worse than any other retailer. They ship stock from China in a container and wholesale a lot of it out to other retailers, so if the price is better from them I’ll buy from them. Good chance if you buy from somewhere else it may well have arrived in the same container anyway.
X-Force bring in their own, of course, so maybe you’re right about the quantity thing affecting I price. I always figure there’s not a lot of sense in paying more for a blaster than you need to… ![]()
iHobby are one of the main importers of these goodies… actually THE main importer.
They get 40ft containers full at a time.
I’ve never had a problem with them. In fact I have quite the opposite, they sell me stuff reasonably regularly!
Actually… I have a review of a blasster for them coming out this week!
As always, the video for their channel is shorter an “sanitised”, the one on my channel is extended and uncensored and will be available the Friday after theirs is up.
Oh I’m a sucker for a bargain, it definitely pays to shop around, albeit locally there’s not à great deal of difference in price, with the more reputable companies, but if I can save a few bucks, I’m saving them for sure.
Can’t help it, I’m also a firm believer in paying the best price ![]()
Even Scott from x-force said “you’d be crazy not to shop around” when I was chatting with him and RJ one day last year when I was in store.
But having said that, it’s still a case of buyer beware
I guess it just comes down to rolling the dice with aftersales service if there are any warranty issues. ![]()
As someone (like a lot of people on here) who voids warranty an hour after I walk through the door with a new blaster, I prefer to save the bucks on the purchase price. I figure if my hamfistedness means I need to replace anything normally covered by warranty the cheaper price offsets that.
That said, I always make sure new blasters at least work correctly and nothing proprietry and impossible to replace is broken out of the factory before I go hack on them. ![]()
129 AUD? For the tec-9? Damn…
Yep….
Here, in Australia, we have this little thing called the tax office…
They find a way to take a chunk out of everyone…
Prices go up, to compensate….
