Just got off the phone with @Spartan from the old forum.
Was a 2 hour long chat as I hadn’t called him for probably over a year now, but that’s exactly what’s great about this hobby…… engaging with likeminded people
I might give old @Cruise a call next, just to see how he’s travelling, despite whatever old bullshit has happened in the past, and fully knowing that he’s had absolutely nothing to do with this hobby since the WA bans…… it’s still nice to say gudday with old friends every now and then
Absolutely… I remember Spartan well from the old days.
Give Cruise a shout out from me if you’re chatting to him please, Doc. Did a few collaborative build posts with him on F2000, Evo 3… great bloke who, like me, liked to buy the cheapest blasters and try to turn them into something awesome.
He came up with some of the most out there and innovative mods on the old forum. I know losing the hobby would have hit him pretty hard.
I consider myself fortunate to have missed out on all the turmoil and aggro when the forum transitioned… seems I took a break from it at just the right time. It’s all a bit of a mystery and I’m happy to keep it that way.
Yeah that was definitely him who rejoined us here and had a few interactions, but he said yesterday that he’s been busy sorting through his medical issues so hasn’t been checking in for quite a while.
Will no doubt see him pop his head in every now and then

Gonna make the effort to call @Cruise in the next couple of days just to check in and see how he’s travelling.
Had a lot of visits with him and his creations, also had his Porsche Coupe that he booked into my workshop to get a few Jobs done for him.
