But then, I’ve always like my game meats… I’ll take a well cooked roo fillet off the bbq over a steak any day of the week. 
Growing up on the parents property, they had a Goats Milk business going, supplying contracts for Lactose Intolerant babies and toddlers/young kids.
So we always had plenty of young goats in the freezer and was our staple diet for years, never having cows milk in the fridge and beef/fish on rare occasions because of everything else we had on the property.
We also had a pigs, guineafowl, fish/Marron/joulgies in the Dams, beef from the neighbours and sheep from our relatives farms.
Rabbit and Roo was always a staple meat source as well, not just for us, but also for the dogs tucker.
When I was working and living on different farms over the years, would always be shooting Roo’s/Rabbits for meals, except for when the Mixxy/Kahleesi and other diseases went through the local populations, then was buying dressed rabbits from the local Butcher
All much better meat than that bright red unnatural crap that they call “meat” on the shelves at Colesworth!
The true shame is not being allowed to keep ferrets in QLD. I think they’re the coolest and cutest pets to have.

Oh hell no ,I don’t have to breed the rabbits. What the cat or my dog doesn’t clean up the 22 does. Not all that many here but like a few dozen about for Dog and Cat feed. Eagle pops in and nabs one instead of my lambs so that’s ok too.

3 of my Dogs they’ve cleaned up now on my fkn property. I do not use it because I do not have many feral Rabbits. yet they are supposed to keep away from residents minimum of 800M when deploying it, give 7 days notice by voice or letter contact and mark the spots where the baits have been deployed. Have a guess which of the above was done and I know you are correct. Shit should be outright banned if PIRSA, NRM and the courts can’t control it. I tried them all last year. Got nothing again besides meetings and signing legal statements to go through court and that didn’t happen either. Grrr
They don’t understand how 1080 works, if you’ve ever experienced it turns them into overdrive and they do cover over a 1 klm in minutes then have seizures. It is fkn horrible. They pannick and run off then return to home base and do laps at 60klm/hr around your house uncontrolled piss and shit themselves. I’ve seen Crows and Eagles drop out of the sky because they have had a chew on a dead 1080’d rabbit. It kills all animals that ingest that crap. I hate it. I gave the NRM and Pirsa a big warning, I never, ever want to see this sort of shit near my home ever again. Or else you are in big shit. They were breaking the law. They knew it too.
Nearly had Goat 2 weeks ago but the buggers gave us the slip. Bumped in to 3 Billies later and oh they are horrid because they piss on themselves to attract the female Nannies.
