interesting day…
Road rage stalker…!
Northbound over the gateway, 3 lanes wide.
I’m in the far right lane, doing a little bit over the speed limit, cruise control on, slowly passing all the other traffic.
Old mate comes up behind me, and sits right on my arse.
Traffic was around, and he was stuck there for about 30-40 seconds.
I had cruise control on, and as i was already a smidge over the limit, wasn’t going to go any faster.
When he gets a opening, he passes me on the midlle lane , pulls up next to me and starts screaming and giving the finger. The car was a beat up old piece of crap black pajero, and he looked like a total feral druggo.
I strongly suspect he was on drugs, and raging…
I looked at him , shrugged my shoulders and mouthed " whats wrong with you?? ( not that he could hear me).
That was it , he went nuts…
Pulled in front of me, slammed on the brakes…
Started to indicate right and swerve right, as to say " cmon, pull over, lets go!)
I figured its not worth tangling with a raging junkie, who probably has a weapon, over absolutely nothing, so i tried to lose him…
I slowed down, he slowed down… i slowed some more…
He took an off ramp, i remained on the free way…and he reentered the freeway behind me. This was when i realised he was a fuckwit, who really wanted to cause harm…who knows what he was carrying…
Anyway, i sped up, and he sped up, remaining behind.
I got ready to fight, took off my watch, sunnies, wallet out of pocket, the things that reduce mobility.
Ive done boxing in the past , and im not scared of a fair fight…but i doubt he would have brought one…
As we approached traffic lights, i called 000 , via bluetooth phone, and had them on. I knew where the local police station was, and was heading there. No red lights, so no stopping,
As we got closer, he realised what was going on , and broke off…
What absolute fuckwits…that a moments impatience drives them to murderous rage…
If he was off his face on drugs, he wouldn’t even feel any punches, they can break bones in that state and don’t feel it at the time.
Apparently, the police shot a crack head down the gold coast yesterday…off his face and threatening people with a chainsaw…

Fkn drugged out nutjobs copping multiple tazer hits without flinching, then leading onto multiple gunshots still not even slowing them down until a piece of lead hits something vital and finally turns their lights off immediately and permanently.
Definitely don’t fck around with people in those sorts of drug induced rages… they are literally 10 foot and bulletproof!

I can guarantee the offender would have been on meth and is big problem these days. My ex RN nearly got knocked out with a fire extinguisher and the offender dropped two strapping security guards before he could be sedated.
Why I say drive with authority and you have to be on guard 110%. Sure you said you were speeding twice but you need to forget about that and focus. What you did was the right thing make a beeline for the nearest police station. There’s nothing Police can do unless it is prolonged engagement and they get time to respond and varies depending where you are.
I’ve got a 40m window of on my own before responce from prior engagements.
Never let your guard down. There is always wheel jack bars as last resort. Know where they are and use them they will usually try to smash you but use them smart to trip and don’t try be a hero and kill. Knees and ankles drop them like flies. The speeding wasnt panicked fleeing…just an attempt to see if i could get some distance from him…
From house fires, to sinking dinghies, to drowning guests on the whale boat, and birdstrikes in 737’s, i take the calm and measured approach.
I think i’ll have to get dashcam camera for my car…that would have grabbed his license plate number. Not that that would have done much, apart from getting him charged with public nuisance or dangerous driving.
The sad fact is, the police have to wait for the crime to happen, and lay charges after the event.
I might also keep a wheel lock, in the front passenger seat.
Ive done some boxing training in the past, had a few dust ups ( as we’ve all had), and come to the realisation fighting isnt worth it…not over nothing.
The potential legal consequences too, are something i certainly don’t need.
Its such a shame, there are so many ticking time bombs getting around, just looking for a reason to explode…

That is right and something you need to get a mindset with. Sure I could blow someone away with my 12G but that shit is not supported as defence in Australia like America sort of is depending on the courts.
So you have to think, and I know you are a very smart person for job you do. There are ways and actually a couple months ago there was a lobby in Queensland for cap spray for personel defence use and legalised. That might be worth chasing up see what’s happening with that as that drops the buggers. Don’t ask me how I know don’t feel like it right now.
Just throwing ideas out there mate. It’s shit we shouldn’t have to do this.

Funny story… working on the wharves a few years back with a young 19 year old Maori who was trying hard to be a gangster, kept dropping names of people of questionable legality he claimed he knew… thing was, I knew some of them too so I knew he was full of shit.
Anyhoo, he came into work one morning looking very sheepish. Couldn’t help noticing his black eye and swollen jaw, so I asked him who’d stolen the jam out of his donut.
Seems on his way home the night before an old bloke about 60 driving a ute cut him off on the freeway, so in true haka style he roadraged the guy, brake checked him then sat up his arse. The old bloke had enough of that after a while so he pulled over in the emergency lane with my mate right behind him. Mr Maori said he got out of his car and shaped up to the old guy fully expecting to kick his arse.
He got the absolute crap beaten out of him… he said the old guy was a psycho and hit like a sledgehammer. I asked him what the old bloke had in the back of his ute… wheelbarrows, shovels, planks of wood.
He’d picked a fight with a lifelong concreter, might have been old but fit as a mallee bull and probably harder than the concrete slab he’d poured the day before.
I really hope he learned a lesson out of that. Told him you never know who you’re pissing off when you road rage, or what they’re capable of… and never judge someone by their age or appearance… big mistake.
The trouble nowadays is…knife crime.
It doesn’t matter how big or strong you are…cut a major artery, and its shock and death in a few short minutes.
The young kids carry them, and have no hesitation using them…as shown time and time again.

Yes knife crime seems to be the norm these days, but too hard a nut to crack, so the Police and Politicians fuck around with our Gelbaster and Firearms Laws instead, to give the public “appearance” that they are “tackling Crime” 
I’m pretty sure if you did the sums, knife crimes/assaults outnumber Gelblaster/Firearm crimes at least 100 to 1
