The Shit Pit

We’ve all heard of the saying…

“What happens when a irresistible force, meets an immovable object?”

A variation on that, is …

“What happens, when an unfounded belief, meets irrefutable truth?”

in this case, the unfounded belief, came from trumps mind.

He believed, that one simplistic act of applying punitive tarrifs would solve america’s financial problems in a very short timeframe, and that all countries around the world would instantly surrender, and comply with his wishes.

A ridiculous belief, a one step simple solution to a complex problem.
Why had nobody else done it already…??

This ridiculous belief was born in trumps mind, grown within the echochamber of his scyhophants reverberating it back to him…then unleashed on the world.

Interesting to note…

  1. he started this trade war.
  2. China pushed back, and increased tarrifs on US goods.
  3. donnie plays the victim, and threatens even higher tarrifs…horrible china is treating us terribly… DARVO anyone.?

When his ridiculous belief comes crashing into the harsh world of reality, and fails to bring the outcome he wants…

You know what he will NEVER do…??

Admit he was wrong.

Instead, blame others, blame staff, blame china…never take resonsibility and ownership for his own failings…

Exactly what he has been doing, his whole entire life…

What did you expect, America.?.?

Yea 104% now hahaha   I can’t help but laugh. Not at you, just these fkn clowns, like a couple of kids…

For you @BME

Finally got around to watch this…

Nothing new to me as I have friends in the mining industry and now others might see why I have been so against electrification. China does it across all production, that is how they make it cheaper, they adhere to no standards but their own.

Had a laugh at this 104% should skyrocket sales :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

“Every electric vehicle has a massive dirty exhaust pipe, it’s just located somewhere else.”

China has only recently found out the high leves of Lithium in the air, food and water is in at very high levels in their citizens, greatly affecting pregnant women and their babies in massive numbers.

Because they do not adhere to safe practices. Meanwhile Australia’s up to standard mines sit here non operational collecting dust because it costs a bit more to produce and follow safe practice of producing the shit.

I saw this back in 2004 in the Automotive industry , exact same thing. ROH cost cut to $14 for a rim for GMHA, but China was offering their version for $12. It failed all the ISO9000 standards for road safety as we got hold of some and tested them. We pointed our findings out to GMHA but they said it’s out of our hands. They were half as strong as Australian built ones. And you know what GMHA could not do a thing, GM stepped in and said we don’t care about your standards you must use the cheapest product globally bar none. We were at materials cost to re up the contract. Materials and labor, no profit. Have a think about that.

GMHA could not do anything, they preferred us but GM america said nope and dats why you have chinese shit quality wheels from around 2005 on bommodores.

I got dragged in to that board meeting with the directors, they just said oh well there goes a third of our industry from the 50’s up in smoke all over a couple of dollars and there is not one thing we can do as King GM said so. Screw you. At least we still make all Toyota wheels back then and they were THE biggest customer.

That started the downward spiral and I got out before the end as it was depressing, moved on to something completely different and never looked back.

Oh and GM america declared bankruptcy in 2006, only way they are still around today. Fkn bunch of sharks, burn everyone to keep themselves alive. That is the american way unfortunately. Never go near them in a warzone you’ll get shot.

mmm USA v China up to 125% tariffs now. Hope USA learns how to make a toaster quick

Drink beer pretty much the same as usual in Aus

Just another day in WA with a Bombay College of TAFE MC Licence Certified driver!

WTF, so just wrap your fkn rig half way around a roundabout, stop for no fkn reason and stand in the middle of the road. What cereal packet did that licence come out of… must be CoCo Pops with classic fruit and nut mix

He must be hungry cause he’s made a meal out of that!
Not hard to drop trailers, which there is going to be plenty of going on there!

Should have stuck with being uber driver in a camry!

Good ole trump…even the shower heads are a power grab…

see if you can circumvent the law on a minor matter…then circumvent the law on a major matter…

project 2025…american dictatorship, anyone…??

Emergency powers…isn’t that how they founded the empire, in star wars.?.?

@Maiphut @RokSolid

These are the Quad Side Tippers that I was upgrading my Truck Licence to be able to Drive, as my mates who are Bosses of a couple of large Mining Contractors were wanting me to come and drive for them … and now can see why they are screaming out for experienced Australian Truck Drivers instead of these fresh off the Computer “licensed” overseas “drivers”. :flushed:

mm thought they’d be the ones. Still going to do it? Be pretty good I’d think, beat trying to squeeze through CBD’s with lunatics everywhere.

I had trouble getting mine as I ended up with a non accredited instructor company. They are not qualified to train anyone, they are average joe blow truck drivers. How the gov let’s them get away with it I do not know. When you do your final test after 5hrs of training(yes that’s all the training you get 5hrs of VORT Vehicle On Road Training) they book a qualified assessor in and test you and he issues the permit to get your licence. It’s a fkn sham and I failed of course cost me $1600.

I eventually found a fully certified mob bit further away and did the proper 20hrs training and flew through no worries.

This is how these truck accidents are happening, uncertified training companies unregulated by the gov are not teaching new drivers properly. I went off at the initial mob called them fuckheads as I wanted to be taught properly as you can fkn kill people with these behemoths if you don’t know what you are doing. Reported them to the gov, and I wasn’t the only one. I see they are still operating today :rage:

For anyone thinking of doing it, just make sure the training company is fully certified to train people. Do your research, each state has different standards.

Anyone else notice that the rocket that took Katy Perry and her all-female crew to the edge of space looks remarkably like a giant dildo?

Blue Origin… aka Mr Buzzy.

WOW, what a shitshow!

This definitely isn’t an isolated case when it comes to these “training” Companies and is the reason behind so many incidents involving trucks on the roads these days. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

It goes far beyond what we see on the roads, it also has deep implications on the “unwritten truckies code” of how to operate together to keep the industry safe for everyone.

There’s so many unwritten “rules” when it comes to operating large trucks in this country, and NONE of this is known or taught by these fly by night “Training” companies, while is impacting the industry all across the roads of Australia.

These are tied into proper 2 way radio communication, safe speed and manoeuvring between different vehicles and even down to parking/refuelling and rest stop etiquette… but NONE of these drivers have a single clue and simply belt around the place causing havoc everywhere they go.

I had a bloody hard time finding a Company where I could upgrade my License too mate, finding only ONE in the whole Perth/Southwest region that were able to provide the necessary training and equipment to upgrade my License.

This was a single Company in Bunbury, about 200km south of Perth, and even then they told me it was going to cost around $3000 as they would have to subcontract the required Instructor/Assessor AND a Truck/Trailer Combination to be able to complete the requirements! :flushed:

There’s hundreds of places available like you said @Maiphut that offer “Truck Driver Training”, but they are exactly as you described… short computer course/driver assessment and BINGO, off you trot down the highway with your huge mobile block of flats and hope you don’t kill TOO many people. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

All these companies provide is Automatic Gearbox Licenses, as that’s what the majority of suburban/modern Fleets are running and the immigrants can easily pass the tests, so that’s why I couldn’t find anyone to help me with my current Open Class Manual Licence requirements, they don’t have any knowledge or experience/equipment on how to teach people 18 Speed Road Ranger or Allanson Manual Gearbox operation.

This is why this company in Bunbury has to hire a Trainer and a Manual Gearbox Prime Mover to be able to do my assessment, as they are exactly the same as these other Training Centres, but are the only ones willing to go that extra step to fullfill my requirements…at a much higher cost!

Unfortunately it’s all out the window now, as the declining health certainly won’t allow me to get back into driving Trucks anymore, even though I already completed my Driver’s Medical, Police Clearance and Working with Children Card to cover any Tourist Coach/Bus Driving type Jobs if required.

There’s hundreds of businesses screaming out for experienced Open Class Manual Drivers out there, obviously sick of all these “WEETBIX” Automatic Only Steering Wheel Attendants they are stuck with … which is why my mates were going to pay for my Licence Upgrade and to get me to come work for them with these Quad Side Tippers, but I couldn’t accept the offer knowing that my physical impairments would let them down.

That would have been a good job. I don’t really fancy doing freight. Done a bit before when Dad was a courier and it sucked.

Roll up to places and nothing to unload with, way too heavy to lift, undo the straps and let it fall on the ground or just go home with the meter still ticking while office chases up someone or something called a forklift to unload.

Dumping dirt in that thing above would be way less stress free. :+1:

Bloody oath mate, can’t do feckall physically and HATE metropolitan traffic, but loved driving trucks for thousands of kilometres out in the endless empty wheatbelt roads simply carting multiple trailers around!

These Quad Tippers would have been perfect with nothing to do but climb behind the wheel and everything, including trailer hookups, was all achievable through in Cab systems where didn’t even have to get out to hitch/unhitch drawbars/air lines/power/light cables or ANYTHING!

No hooking up trailers, loading/unloading, strapping down loads etc etc like the freight delivery side of the job.

Added bonus was if you got a flat or any mechanical issues, the protocol was to simply stay in the cab and Radio base to send out a mechanic/tyre changing crew to get you back on the road again :raised_hands:

Great job and bloody good pay … but that’s a lot of responsibility rolling down the road to have an unexpected back spasm or something else health related to suddenly turn these 130-150 tonne behemoths into an uncontrollable weapon.:flushed:

Not something I was willing to take the chance, especially when they are my mate’s companies I’m putting at risk.

All the road rules in every state are cooked, millions of people instantly granted licenses when they arrive in the country without any testing yet they are anal about everything else. Drive a manual when you’re not supposed to, pay thousands and lose pretty much all your demerit points yet people who have no understanding of basic road rules are fully licensed…? Have tires that are an inch to big then it’s suddenly not roadworthy when the whole reason you get tires like that is because the roads aren’t car worthy. I got a fine the other day for resting my arm on the door while I was driving

All true Squiddy… easier to target the people doing the right thing rather than the other 90% who should be copping the brunt of the attention from the Authorities.

I spent quite a bit of time looking around to get my MC licence, not many places offer the training, and even less do it properly!

When going for my HR originally I found it really odd that most places tried to talk me out of getting the road ranger licence, not every place has a fancy modern fleet! They said why bother every place just has autos now? Well, not true… having an open licence has made it much easier to choose jobs, and has the benifits of you learn to actually drive the things.

Have driven an auto truck, not a fan! The spare effort from not having to change gears went to complaining about poor choices of gear changes it did… and then just forcing it to shift manually!

And don’t get me started on how annoying the"safety technology" on a modern truck is!

Much prefer to use my years of training and experience than trust some sensors and computers!
