Not going to happen, spoke to my Canadian mate couple weeks ago, they’ve cancelled their F35 order, locked their border down with US and are looking at going further as the new PM is sworn in. Canada supplies 70% of USA energy needs. That is why Trump wants it under his control.
… I knew all the historical hugely bigshots…
Julius Seize-her… seize her by the pussy…great guy, great friend of mine…very hands on…
Alexander The Great… smart guy, very brave…
but now he’s had to move aside for “trump the greatest bigly huge of all time”
Alexander wasn’t happy at first, but i said to him “i’ll double your tarriffs if i dont get the title”, and he agreed… smart guy…
Also, Napolean Boner-part… great friend, i knew him well.
Always had a hard on, and a funny hair do…
And tomorrow, im having lunch with adolf Hit-her…maybe he can smack some sense into melania…but we have the best marriage ever…
Sigh…
Can’t wait until he gets to China, yes we have been great friends since the beginning of the Ming Dynasty
I dunno why but I read that in his voice in my mind… crack up
Here we go, now the druggo up the road is trying to ring me. He run in to the scrub again, help help. Sorry no reception. Fuck off
I feel sorry for his daughter…
Poor child.
It can take long time, to overcome a poor childhood of neglect, abuse, and poor self esteem…
People should have permits , to breed…
She’d be at school today while he fks around during the day.
On another note… Yippee
Millions for farmers after worst harvest in 15 years
That it, 55M. May as well piss on it will do nothing. Put a zero behind it to make a difference.
Seems some of Trump’s strategies are working for the better
Thats the psychopath strategy, of " Create the problem…then sell you the solution".
If you create the problem, then can sell the ability to make it go away, it does force people to the negotiating table to bargain, where a problem never even existed before.
It also damages relationships, and alienates allies.
Toxic and abusive relationships, are not tolerated long term.
America has always had a trade deficit, importing more goods than it exports.
They have offshored a lot of their manufacturing, and thats not something that can be reversed overnight.
American wages were higher than developing countries wages, costs were a lot lower overseas, and consumers loved the cheaper goods and prices.
It would take years to build factories, to have products made in america again, and then the goods will be at higher cost than available overseas.
Everything is gonna get more expensive under trump, hence the 60% chance of a US recession…
Isn’t that a good thing for us if the US goes into recession? Won’t that drive down the USD and bring the AUD dollar closer to on par with them hence make things more affordable for us in the long-run?
If a US recession, sparks a worldwide recession…
Not a good look…
Not good for us if the US dollar drop has a knock on effect… which no doubt it will.
Now the dumbass has increased tarrifs on China. It’s like watching the playground bully playing “who’s got the biggest dick” in the changing room.
His solution is a cart before the horse…
Where he should be saying there will be a tariff in the future to give companies time to relocate manufacturers, he is instead going to cripple foreign trade and domestic economy which will have a overall worse outcome for their economy, as well as other countries… and diplomatic relations with them.
There is a good reason business is seperate from politics… my only hope is the only face it blows on long term is his.
Unfortunately it was the south park turd sandwich and giant douche scenario… as every election is… just like ours will be soon. Two parties with no real benefit to anyone but themselves.
I know a lot of you are in Australia, how are you guys dealing with our new “president” and his rich friends.
I don’t want the AUD on par with USD. Because international trade revolves around USD and what your countries is worth against it. So for what I produce , if it’s cheaper for a international buyer to buy here, they will, if it’s parity they will buy elsewhere and I go broke.
I know it’s hard for city folk to understand as it seems back to front. But this is the reality of international trade, and I am on the frontline and know how it works.
I buy nearly zero from USA as I have no need to as all my consumables to conduct business are made right here in Australia. Yes we still do make stuff.
As the Aussie dollar dropped early Monday Morning, todays wool markets picked up 40 cents per kilo across all types. Back to where they were 1 month ago.
Always a trend, look at when we were around 80Aud to 1 USD a decade or so ago, wool market gutsed and farmers were going broke left right and center. Dropped some 60% of the nations flock off because costs were not meeting returns.
Further back even recently due to the dumb gov cancellation of live sheep export trade announcement. Bear in mind that is just saying, not doing, I had $60-70 lambs in for sale that day the fuck wits anounced it and gues what I got $10 per head, minus frieght, minus levy and minus yarding fees.
Back in the 90’s when the market gutsed the gov paid you 30 cents per head to shoot your own stock. Some of my farmer friends around here still talk about it and I remember seeing on the news guy standing in corner of pen with a Ruger 10/22 dropping hundreds as fast as he could reload.
Send a truckload of sheep off and the farmer ends up with a bill. Why even bother. Fine don’t eat home grown meat and live wrapped in plastic.
Even a few Army fellows I’ve spoken too say they are always trained to protect Primary Production.
You can not rely on imports. Like China has and is doing recently. Mapping us out, they could blockade us and bang 30 days no fuel. We are fucked. Start walking sunshine.
Thing that annoys me is we have every resource here that every country in the world wants and needs, yet we rather import it from another country instead of digging/refining it ourselves like we used to do. Get a private company like Rio Tinto dig but loads up and ship it to China for a quick buck. People need to wake up man or we could go land down right under very easily.
But has China or USA increased Tariffs on Australia?
He is trying to shock the system. Get to the negotiating table. Uncouth and typical american way about it but that is what he is trying to do.
Maybe, but the bull-in-a-china-shop approach isn’t the way to do it. Trashing the economies of other countries and threatening them with boots on the ground invasion isn’t exactly a diplomatic approach.
This one’s going to have to play out and we’ll have to see where all the chips have landed when the smoke clears, I guess.
