Someone needs to give highway patrol training if they want to keep defects as a thing managed by police. My cruiser is sitting on some stock ass springs and very low compared to other stock 4wd’s running around now but still got questioned by highway patrol. To be fair to the highway patrol officer he was very respectful and told me that he wanted to have a look at the car more in depth as he thought it wasn’t stock height. I was respectful back to him and showed him the springs in it and showed him the service book of the car that the previous owner kept that showed every last detail of what’s been done to the car and he was happy with that and we went seperate ways no harm no foul. Thing is I’ve been seeing a lot of incidents online where 4wd’s are lifted within legal and reasonable means and people haven’t been as lucky as me with getting responsible, understanding and respectful cops that look at the situation in more depth and are willing to listen to your explanations of what’s been done to the car. If they care that much about lifted 4wd’s then every highway patrol officer should have a list of common 4wd’s and there stock ride height and a tool to measure the ride height in there glove box.
Happy to see you had a reasonable outcome from your experience, as this is definitely a rare happening over the majority of traffic stops.
I’ve been involved with these sorts of situations for MANY years in my line of business, driving vehicles with massive sized rims/tyres, sidepipes and blowers/carbs sticking high up into the sky attracting a LOT of attention and roadside inspections from the Constabulary. 
Believe it or not, never even once resulted in a defect notice, lucky enough to have Police that would actually listen and recognise that I actually new more about the DOT Laws than they did, but with respect and not being cocky the same as you handled the situation.
Most people who do get defects are simply too argumentative and don’t know the Laws regarding their modifications themselves, leading to a guaranteed bad outcome from the get go.
No, the traffic police are not trained/educated and in reality they LEGALLY should be!
To be given the power to defect vehicles for “illegal modifications” that are actually 100% LEGAL, but they don’t know any better and don’t care either… its up to YOU to go through the Pits and argue your case against their decision whether they were right or wrong. 
Even though I have closed my business, I still get the emails from the DOT and Engineering Firms giving the latest Legal changes in the Vehicle Industry Regulations every now and then.
Goodonya for keeping a level head and knowing the history and parts fitted to your classic old Cruiser, as this went a long way into showing that you were aware of your vehicle and the mechanical modification legalities at hand.
I am well aware that QLD and NSW Police are having massive targeted campaigns against 4WD’s at the moment, so even if you are doing everything right, just driving one is enough to attract their attention.
Thank fck WA is all chill on this topic, as my 4" lifted/33" Muddy Patrol would be off the road in an instant!

The products available from Tokyo Marui is a lot, not sure they have this in the list or not at the moment. By the way, I got the 3D file for the sten part. I will take a time to check on it and other parts you enquired before. It’s taking a bit long so I asked them to send the file first to avoid nothing on hand.

We make to a standard, so do I everytime I sell a sheep I sign a legal document where if I don’t follow Biosecurity I can get thrown in jail. Doesn’t bother me as I am well trained and look after my live stock as they are my income.

Well it’s like this, the reason US even started making movies in Australia is because it is cheaper. Only pay 60 odd cents instead of a full dollar. Then when they send that 60 cents home it magicly turns in to a dollar and it cost them 40cents in the dollar less to make the said film that is getting the full dollar when they all watch it. Pr$fit.
Plus hollywood burnt to the ground earlier this year so they are in the process of making that movie just have to clean the joint up first.
Of course we can Tariff USA, do you think Elbow has a ball left to try it? We buy bugger all from them anyway in the bigger picture. Sure some military hardware that is theirs but not much. Some of their companies set up factories here and make better stuff than they do. Ala APKWS II or AGR 20 as USA renamed it. BAE systems Australia.

Yea right, it’s on everything on top of the Tax that has not been removed that was already on all products.
