This is what I don’t get. Queensland amended the weapons act of 1996 to make mandatory registration of firearms as it was not compulsory to register a firearm hence a heap of SKS-D’s were unretrievable during the Howard /Bryant bullshit.

I can tell it’s going to be very divisive depending on what your expectations are due to which movie you loved more - Alien or Aliens.
It’s been great at building tension.
Quite impressed it’s avoided the trope of dragging out questions that stumps onscreen characters but plainly obvious to the audience.
Ep5 has been a 10/10 if you add in nostalgic factor, solid 9 without it.
So far for me it’s a 9 overall.

it goes without saying saying, i liked both Alien, and Aliens…
Both very different styles…one suspense/horror…the other suspense/action.
I felt ridley scott went off the rails with recent offerings…prometheus / covenant etc…
What were they exactly.?
Naturally evolved hostile parasitic lifeform, or engineered bioweapon.?
Neither recent movie satisfactorily answered either question…and just messily clunked along diluting and further muddying the waters…
Leaving it open ended and open to audience interpretation is a cop-out.
The whole recent movie series left more unsatisfying open ended questions, and left things unresolved…
I was concerned the tv series may be more of the same…different director, different ideas, modify and pollute the story even more…
Like the disney star wars movies…they keep flogging a dead horse, failing to recreate the ‘lightning in a bottle’ of the originals, and degrade the series to the point of tuning out and losing all interest…
But, it sounds like this hasn’t happened here…
I’ll check it out out, when the whole series is released, on a free trial…
Alien and Aliens…keep appearing in the ‘greatest 100 movies of all time’ lists, for good reason…
Oh forgot to add - if you in it to find out more about the Xenomorph… Not a whole lot on the front aside from some physiological stuff.
Might change with the 3 episode remaining.
