Src are decent. Really depends what you want from a blaster and how much you want to spend now, and later on.
I always look at the modding and upgrade potential, and longevity of blasters… you tend to do that when you’ve spent so much time fixing and upgrading them!
If you want a blaster to just grab and go with little worries, E&C are good, though a hot above the price point. Out of box experience is pretty reliably good, they can be upgraded, and are reliable. They also take lots of very common magazines.
I still prefer cyma metal blasters (have a look at iHobby and use their discount).
A good metal cyma starts just over $400. They have the toughest stock gearbox of any blaster so upgrade potential is better than any other.
There are no free lunches though, so the downsides.
They take cyma magazines (renowned for being a little be troublesome if neglected or over time).
They can be converted to take the common pattern mags but does require so modifying.
The other downside is to upgrade them initially takes a bit more parts and work than an E&C would, but they will last far longer even at higher levels than an E&C would.
The other side is you can get something cheap and have it upgraded, or learn to upgrade it. Plenty of common platforms that don’t break the bank can become high performers with the right parts and labour!
Src are good, though they do a few key things a bit proprietary so you will have to live with it as is, with slightly more limited options than other brands.
Avoid Wells… and double bell in the right models is okay for the price, but if you are spending that money I’d say look at cyma instead.
For the record… I have 6… or 7 (can’t remember!) metal cymas, and they regularly get used. Some are 4 years old, all are modified, but all are workhorses that just keep going!
Na I’m saving pocket for a new one, Fk the 2nd hand market just buying other peoples problems. Ask me how I know. Unless it’s someone relible like Ffire but they are rare
