Sum Ting Wong going on with AliExpress/Chinese Shipping at the moment.
Just had 3 different orders cancelled and refunded due to “logistics issues”.
Never experienced this before, and couldn’t understand when one seller said that their Parcel was returned to sender from the Shipping Logistics Centre as “they couldn’t arrange transport” for a box that size, which was a 1500mm Twin Engine Messerschmitt BF 110 Fighter Bomber that does come in a pretty hefty sized box … but it’s still a Model Aircraft, not a fkn Motorcycle or Electric Scooter!
Another one was a 1300mm Messerschmitt BF 109 single seat fighter aircraft that comes packed in a much smaller box, and yet the shipping issue was reportedly the same.
My 1800mm HUSKY was delivered without any issues in a box just as large as these only a few months ago.
I’ve had to double and triple check on the 1100mm Hawker Hurricane and Focke Wulf FW 190 models to make sure that they have both been successfully shipped, and appear to be legitimately on their way thank god.
With the money refunded from the two"unshippable" Aircraft, I’ve ordered a 1600mm Twin Engine B25 Liberator Bomber … so fingers crossed that that big behemoth will actually be able to be sent?
One of my orders has been flagged as “contains restricted items”
There’s a tactical vest and a piticanny rail torch, that’s the only thing I can think that could’ve been flagged but they shouldn’t be restricted as far as I know, Ive got in one of the torches before so maybe it’s the vest, unless it’s the battery issue with the torch
This is one of the primary reasons buying locally is far more expensive. Retailers have to account for the probability that a shipment will be seized.
Post Bondi BS has seen a much higher rate and likelihood of even more mundane stuff being captured by ABF.
Getting parts through at the moment I am ordering less range and quantity but across multiple orders, resulting in more postage charges and delays, but risking a few hundreds worth of parts is far less risky than losing thousands worth of parts. And yeah the cost is going to have to be passed on but it’s worth it for a lower risk of a huge loss vs a small loss.
Gearboxes though I suspect will be a challenge. Still debating if it’s even worth the risk. I certainly don’t want to risk 40 gearboxes at a time, but 3 or 4? Maybe… again though extra postage charges and the likelihood they are seized… is it even worth it?

you are on the same boat as me, I ordered two exactly the same vest from Aliexpress, one in green , one in camouflage. The green one get through , the one in camouflage “was a restricted item” confiscated/destroyed by custom. Restricted item is defined by it’s colour not the nature of the item itself, that’s why exporters is so frustrated,
Question, what’s the process when they pull the restricted items nonsense?
I havnt received any correspondence regarding it yet, none whatsoever… aren’t I suppose to be able to try and appeal their decision and state my case that it’s for gel blaster gaming and that there’s currently plenty of examples of camoflage plate carriers already available in Australia and that confiscating it under the premise that “because it’s camoflage it’s a restricted item” when there’s plenty camoflage plate carriers already available in Australia, albiet more expensive, is a bit silly
Funny. I just pulled out my old screw together taccytoys M4 this afternoon. Was going to paint it tan and stick it on the wall. went to change barrel and add some magpul furniture but forgot about the weird barrel nut moulding. No to find an adapter for a gen 9 barrel nut / handguard

We once had a bird that was fascinated with our reflective tinted windows, would tap on the glass every morning at 4.30-5am.
Tried ambushing with air rifle, tennis rackets, nets, sticky rodent traps on the window sill, traps, fake owls, tried everything. In the end the only thing that worked was taping up all of the windows with black builders plastic until the bird stopped coming around. The house looked a bit odd while we waited for this to happen though
