It’s got a massive infinity pool…for hotel guests only.
The public can pay, to go up and have a look…really good nighttime view…

My parents used to go to Singapore and Hong Kong twice a year, every year as we were growing up and seen TOO many “slide show nights” of the skylines than anyone should have been subjected to…
But that was many years ago and the whole place has changed a lot since then!
Sooo many high rises…
Gotta put all the people somewhere…
Keep building up….
Cars are super expensive here…
Most people just use cabs and public transport.
Yes they mentioned that when they went back earlier this year, along with how fast it is growing and yet still a very clean and beautiful City.![]()
Yes…Singapore is a fine city….
Littering….Fine…$200.
Chewing gum…Fine…$300
Jaywalking…Fine…$300
Spitting….Fine…$250.
You get the idea…!

Yes it was the spitting and chewing gum fines that always amazed us as kids, but it definitely keeps the place clean and in order for sure!
The old man always joked that they probably had a fine for Farting in public too!![]()
All jokes aside…it is a very safe city.
They don’t have the derro crackheads wandering around, causing trouble.
Very clean city…that’s tightly enforced.
Nothing wrong with those high standards…
Oh for sure, something that many other countries don’t do and have paid the price for the lack of authority dearly.![]()
Mum and Dad are still travelling all over the world in their retirement, and it’s pretty sad when they say that places like Vietnam are still actually much safer and nicer than Paris, the UK and large cities in Germany and elsewhere in Europe.
Probably why they always have spent so much time going to Singapore and Hong Kong for many decades now.
Great sport was Friday night at cnr Scotts and Orchard watching the prettyboys parade before they headed to the Far East. Saturday cruising through the electronics markets and the Ferrari shop before heading to Hooters and accusing them of false advertising
Speaking of stuff, that customs allow…
RE Requiem axes…real steel…!!
This one is seriously heavy…!!
Bye Bye, zombie skull…!!
Nice collectors pieces…!!
Makes the new Gelbaster laws look ridiculous doesn’t it.
Can’t have kids running around with Gelbasters, but we can get them a Battleaxe for Xmas to run around the local Park with instead!![]()
Aren’t swords illegal? Even if they’re blunt edges.
Or was that the other nanny states.
Here’s the funny thing…
Axes are legal in QLD…just not throwing tomahawks etc.
Ebay has a blanket policy…dont sell anything edged to QLD.
I used ETSY…no such self imposed restriction.
It actually landed, and cleared… In Vic…!!
which is just as well…anyone can buy any axe, from bunnings.
Bit of a running joke, i have with the bunnings staff, on walk in…
" Where are your axes…?? And your acid, and your 200 litre acid proof drums.??"
Most staff just laugh, 1 said " i know someone who could do with that "…and 1 blank stare…!!

I’d have QPS find me in the store and escort me from the premises in cuffs if I did that ![]()

Cheers for the chat mate and MANY thanks for everything you do for this Community.
Thanks @AFX for the ongoing support of the community. One of the unseen saviours of the hobby ![]()
Nail. On. The. Head. …!!
This guy is a senator.
Govt is not the source of prosperity… absolutely correct.
He also said canberra is filled with the most toxic people, who think they have the divine right to rule over us.
Have to keep an eye on this guy…
Well…
The guy’s taken his dress cues straight from Donny Dump for a start, so…
*Strike one!"
Which is hardly so very surprising seeing as how he represents the United Australia Party, Clive’s little political group… the dick who gave us “Make Australia Great Again” and “The Trumpet Of Patriots” so…
Strike two!
Pointing out the problems without really providing realistic solutions isn’t constructive, pretty typical of kind of anger generating blame assigning tactics UAP and ON use, just piss and wind really, so…
Strike three! You’re out!

that is true…
but all the points he raises are completely spot on.
If only real change could be brought about, to enact the change he speaks of.
But, the govt is never going to reduce the beauracry in size or power…
