Oh crikey that would be something
although that show didn’t end well if you know the story behind that one.
I used to watch that show back in the day because it looked cool but slowly the IRL drama caught up with them.
Ok, on a side note…
EOFY has just passed, and i recently spoke to my property manager, about tax related stuff, for my investment property.
She is a real estate agent, very driven , works hard, and has 2 premium acreage listings , down near the gold coast…one is $2m, the other $3M.
I knew she had open homes, and i asked how they went…
She said she had an offer on the $3m dollar place, but it was super sketchy…
i (half jokingly)…slipped into my ‘Guido the wog’ accent and said…
“EhEhEh… i give ya a good price for the house, cash, no questions asked, alright, a armoured car just rolled over, and all the cash money fell into my boot, cause it was open, cause i was changin the tyre…i didnt see it till i got home, and now its like fully legally mine. And, the white powder is OMO, alright,we buy it in bulk at aldi… I swear to my god, my friend…”
When she stopped laughing she said, " OMG you dont know how close to the truth that is…They were late 20’s , didnt want to give their last names out at all, and offered a cash sale. I finally got their last names on the offer form, investigated them, and they are linked to illegal activity…"
I said " Take their money, but dont push too hard in negotiations, or you might end up in a canal crab pot…!!
Seriously, you might get the chance to sell the house twice…first, when you sell it to them, and second, when its seized, and resold under the proceeds of crime act…
I can all but guarantee, they are under surveillance, and the police are just waiting for them to do something before they pounce…"
Its a funny world we live in…
She was thinking crims…or onlyfans…!!
Apparently some onlyfans chick, lives in the same area…
That’s the thing…cash is much harder to trace…
You could pack large amounts of cash into suitcases, then move it, bury it, hide it…
We’ve seen all the auctions, when they finally raid a dealers place, and seize all sorts of stuff…property, cars, luxury items , Rolex’s etc…
No explanations, how they afford all that stuff…
But, tangible items , can be seized, and auctioned off…
That’s why the gov wants to go a cashless society. So they can see what goes where.
On a side note… was just watching the tail end of the chase before the news. Not one person could answer the question: what country used the fighter plane named ZERO. Unbelievable. One guess was USA, chaser passed. WTH bwahahaha
Mitsubishi zero…
Japanese…
My dads uncle Bill fought in ww2…
Had a foot blown off…
Dad hated “ the bloody japs” , for the rest of his life…
So, if the fan comes off your Mitsubishi aircon…and whacks your head…
“ You Just got Zero’ed…”
Damn good interceptor, though. Had to have been, to take so many allied lives.
Japanese early war pilots were good, too.
I had a friend who went to Japan recently, actually. She stopped in at basically their version of the National War Museum, right next to the Imperial Palace.
And hooooly shit, she said it was bad. Written very much from a nationalist perspective, even in the current day. Whitewashing basically everything they did in WW2, and labelled outside intervention as the downfall of Japan.
It’s so bad that the Emperor has refused to visit in more than 5 decades, out of disgust. Apparently it was barely visited by tourists, even compared to niche things like the Gundam company headquarters. Not even locals went there, equally grossed out by the lack of shame. No idea how the hell they keep afloat, if that’s the case. One rich nutjob is all it takes, I guess.
Yes, it was an excellent plane
The japanese answer, to the spitfire.
Yes, the japanese pilots were great. Also Kamikazi’s
Motivated…ultimately, to expend their lives, out of hate, programmed in at a national level
Hate is a powerful emotion, and in its thrall, its can equip users to do horrendous acts, as the heat of hate, burns the conscience away…
After the moment passes, they are left saying…“what did i just do.??”
Hence the saying, “hate destroys, both the user, and the victim”
You either make peace with it, or avoid looking in the mirror altogether…
Hate and greed, is what starts wars…
Learn from the lessons of the past, or repeat them…
Yeeep. Only need to look at history past and present. From PRC killing a million Tibetans and annexing Tibet to Mr Russia trying to do similar, germany, Vietnam and the list goes on and on…
I don’t think china will ever get taiwan, no matter how many fish they kill. They really only want taiwan for 1 thing: TSMC.
That’s right, with TSMC under control they control the worlds technology. But those times are changing and attempts are being done to mitigate it. US will flatten TSMC before China gets their greasy hands on that world leading tech.
China has been yapping a lot about taiwan since Mao. they like to talk a big game but not actually go through with it…but that remains to be seen.
They should go for russia rn since they’re pre-occupied with ukraine and take the region with Vladivostok.
I tend to agree, they tried the big talk with AUS. Trade spat etc, how did that work out for them, ran out of fkn coal and froze, power outages. None of our top quality iron ore to make steel. Only Brazil matches it.
Now they come crawling back for resources while we expand elsewhere with trade instead of relying on China trade.
they politically shot themselves in the foot and said “y u shoot me, australia?”
I was going to add the shot in foot to my comment good chat
In my time, of flying ‘bank runs’, out of bankstown…
there was a freighter, which was a poisoned chalice…
The mitsubishi M-U2…or, the “rice rocket”, as we called it…
At the time, it was desirable, as it was twin engined, pressurised, and turbo prop, retractable , flight time…
It was also called the widow maker,
As it was of bulbous design, iced up everywhere, and stalled on approach…
The only japanese plane, to kill more allies, after the war…!!
Jeez sounds like fun…not. Mitsubishi make some really good stuff most times, then they make something, and you think, what the hell were they smoking that day. I refer to my experiences in making Magna wheels. Shittest wheel out but it’s what they specc’d. Even looked crap.
We used to joke…
You were “promoted” , to fly the rice rocket…
But seriously, what did you do, to deserve that…!!!
I took a tour of Mitsubishi’s Lonsdale foundary many moons ago. It was the biggest in the southern hemisphere. They casted all the magna front subframes as well as engine blocks but mostly forklift engine blocks for worldwide supply by the thousands. All gone now.
Last I heard the Lonsdale warehouse was an indoor mushroom growing farm. LOL
