This shit has been going on for over 5 years I swear. Fk me one Taipan crahsed in the drink earlier this year, now another, now they are all grounded and media is still rambling on about a software update problem that didn’t get done 5 fucking years ago.
You’d think with Austin and Blinken here during Talisman Sabre on talks about us building super dooper missiles for the US they could spare 40 new build Blackhawks so we can scrap that euro trash that was designed to operate in minus 10C not 40+c. The whole wiring harness is trashed in Taipan, running gear needs replacement, then the airframe itself needs rebuilding as it’s cracking and fucked. Throw that shit in the bin.
Fk me we are still operating Blackhawks we bought in the 80’s in to the early 90’s was the last delivered with minimal mechanical failure and easy plentiful parts supply chain. Few pilot errors and shit happens but they are a proven rig. Must be, only fucking helicopter that the ADF can fly at the moment that is 30+ years old.
