He said if he was a dictator he would like to ban social media.
He did not say he would like to be a dictator, in fact he condemned dictatorships in the next breath.
While the way he said such a thing was worrying, he was correct with the why, I think. Just anyone can lie on social media, and spread misinformation. Then, because not every Australian citizen is 100% up to date with the politics news (who could be, in this age?), they do the very normal human thing and trust what their fellow man on social media is saying.
Which is damaging to truth, and democracy.

Where’s PIRSA and the animal welfare league now? Why are they not condemning the euthanisation and shooting of thousands of stock that farmers can’t afford to feed. They don’t plan to feed them as it’s planned they get sold. Every year except '91 '92. At least the then again Labour gov paid each farmer $6/hd for shooting them. Not now get nothing but a bill.

It just shits me, average people like yourself, the prices on the shelf are absolutely ridiculous.
Even when 1 year ago I was getting good price for a 26kg live weight lamb at $100/hd. Then they have four legs of lamb each and they were retailing for around $20-25 ea. Then you have your favoured loin chops, ribs, neck, shanks etc etc (I’m not a pro butcher) so of course transport that I pay for comes out of that $100. Then it gets butchered and packaged so cost there, then transported to the shelves in your local coolies.
For it to all change in 6 months and covid can not be blamed what’s changed? I blame coolies for the most part being unrestricted in their pricing, but also the Gov for not doing anything about it which they damn well can and have done in the past.
Average Joe Aussie citizen is not buying as much home grown meat at the moment as it’s bloody expensive.
The live export by boat thing will officially be cancelled by the Ag minister by the end of this month by the looks(edit actually it has been extended to Oct 25 far out ), he does have the power to overturn the Govs policy of stopping it but it doesen’t look good. The event where a couple thousand died in 2017 during transport from Australia was a freak weather incident but also that countries poor handling of the stock. The market crashed I lost a heap of money as I sold lambs when that broke. $10/ head. The calls were thick and heavy to ban that then, but the in power gov kept it going thank christ and sales bounced back soon after. With some immediate stipulations like 30 extra on board vetinarians. But really what can you do when Australia does not even own the ships. It’s the purchasing countries ship they send over to pick up the livestock. It’s on them when it leaves our shores.

Hey had anyone had luck selling on facebook? I put up a wetech a while back on here with not much luck. My mums down looking after my kids for the next week of school holidays and offered to seĺl stuff for us on facebook. So did up an ad, and it got knocked back. Did the same as others on facebook and drew all over image with (toy gel blaster) and tried again and no deal. Wtf
Facebook won’t let me list gel blasters… against Facebook standards, they say. Even though other people seem to have no problem listing them.
So over fucking Marketplace… every ad I put up for guitars or amps draws three or four scammers, then nothing for a few days, then the serious buyers come out. They’re either working in the mines out west, out of town or unwell and want to send their brother or the UPS guy around after a PayID transaction. 
The conversation dies after a “Cash on pickup only” message.
