What squiddy promises… VS…

Oh, send some my way then.
Fucking Jetstar!!..
Cancelled my flight home today with a 4am SMS “cancelled due to operational requirements”.
No available replacement flights until tomorrow and only one without a 5 hour layover in Sydney.
No offer of a ticket refund either… just a voucher. Like I’m ever going to fly with those fuckers again… REX all the way from now on, this is the third time in two years they’ve screwed me at the last minute with not even a sniff of lube.
@BME if you fly for Jetstar, nothing personal, man… just super pissed off that I’m stuck down here in Mexico for another day when I’ve got shit to do at home.
Rant over
i"m feeling you…
Jetstar exists, to screw EVERYONE over…
It was set up by G.D, who was labeled bt the media as a “corporate sociopath”.
The mindset was behind it all was…
" You want low fares.? well give you low fares, but absolutely screw you over on the conditions…"
Cancel flights at the drop of a hat, with no transport/accomodation provided, as per qantas, sleep in the bloody terminal. Significantly lower wages, and an adverserial attitude for all the staff, so they dont care either, and charge you for everything.
You join the long list of many people who’ve been screwed over, and swear never to fly them again…
And no, i dont fly for jetstar…
Yeah, I should have known better…
I swore off them last botched flight booking, but when you’re perusing Webjet and the flight time and price suit, sometimes you ignore the little voice in your head screaming “No, don’t do it!” and decide to roll the dice. my bad, nobody to blame but myself.
I don’t know how they stay airborne with the corporate attitude they have.
In general, I can’t fathom how airfares are calculated… how can a flight from MEL to BNE cost $1600 with any carrier?
Be sure to use the gender neutral toilet…!!
Cleanest one in the house…!!
Grab a sausage roll, and a coffee, but dont expect change, from a $20 note…
Catching a cab out, you’ll pay something like $5.75 airport fee, for the privilege of using monopoly melb airport…
With pricing, they always start out low, a long time out from the the date of the flight.
As the flight fills, and it gets closer to the departure date, they tend to raise the prices as “demand” increases.
When its hours before departure, they charge extortionate rates, as they figure some people will be desperate enough, as they simply must travel…
its been that way, since Adam was a boy…
Just dont tell corey…he’ll put up the prices on blasters, as stock decreases…!!
The last dozen SPAS’s will go for a grand a pop…!!
And , be sure to call into squiddy’s place, and grab a few leopard print undies…!!
I still hate Jetstar, but I guess I can’t blame them for the fog…
Bloody Melbourne weather…
expect delays…
when it goes to low vis ops, aircraft movements are reduced, both for arrival and departure…
the nature of the beast, of domestic flying…
Still, better than getting airborne, and doing a 19 hour sector in a 787 / A350…
Uggghhh…shudder…!!
Is it really that much?! Last time I flew interstate was sub $100, wasn’t all that long ago…
Melbourne to Brisbane flight prices were anywhere between $499 and $1,600 this morning on Webjet… and that’s cattle class.
Go figure… but sub $200 flights are still available with early bookings.
There was some type of Tourism deal happening a month or so ago where they were discussing $150 flights Sydney-Busselton Airport as a bait to get Mexicans to consider the benefits of moving to a beautiful part of the Southwest WA region with our cheaper housing and cost of living, yet have the benefits of a “national” regional Airport to allow them to travel to their jobs/families right in their backyard
Queensland getting a dick for a deputy. Interesting news on radio
I hear keanu Reeves home got broken into
Guns and jewellery were stolen
The actor was not home at the time.
In my opinion the robber’s are bloody lucky he wasn’t.
The videos I have watched of him doing live training for John wick movie’s are brilliant.
Heaven help them if they hurt his dog during the break-in
Cost of living bites - absolutely packed at Town Centre, barely anyone eating at the restaurants or food court, not a lot of people with shopping bags.
Free aircond, right…!,?
Here’s a trick…
Buy 1 movie ticket…
Go into the cinema…
Change cinemas half way through, and go into a movie just starting….
Rinse and repeat all day…
Free aircond, peace and quiet, and you’ll eventually see about 5 movies…!!
I’m actually not joking, people do this…
When mum moved to north lakes, the first thing I insisted upon was…
Whirlybirds on the roof
Solar panels
Split system A/C.
She now has a modern 5kw Panasonic , 4 star energy rating,.
Open plan house, leave it on all day…
Set it at 22 deg, you achieve about 26-27 deg through the whole house…when it’s 33 outside.
Run the a/c , all day, at no cost…
It gets rid of the sweltering humidity as well, the house is just comfortable.
This will keep her alive, the sad truth is elderly folk die of heat stress on hot days, because they can’t afford to run A/C…
Very happy, mums not in that position…
The aircon IS damn refreshing though.
Is this the type of shite that influenced the law changes here?
Massive difference between Australia and what’s available in Canada’s laws and position on the US Borders
