For those " Non QLD people"…im sure its making news interstate though…
another knife murder…
a 70 Y.O grandmother was stabbed to death, in front of her 6 Y.O. grand daughter…out getting some groceries, at redbank plains…
The Assailant…a 16 year old Sudanese boy…with 3 others.
Their ‘prize’… a hyundai getz…worth maybe 5k…dumped later…
A loving grandmother killed , for nothing…in front of a child, in a public place…im sure she would have handed over the keys…no need to stab her…
The youth crime act needs a full rewrite…
Especially, concerning proven Violent refugees / immigrants…
Australia is a welcoming multicultural society, do the right thing, you will not have a problem…
But ( in my view)… if you do the wrong thing…
Commit, or be associated with violent crimes (assaults / muggings/ home invasions / car theft/ drug dealing etc) within the first 5 years of immigration into Oz…
You, And your whole family… are all deported…no questions…
Consequences like that, might make people think twice, before choosing violent crimes ( which, at the moment, have ZERO consequences)…
Agree 100% dual citizens who commit heinous crimes can be deported, should be the same for every person who holds Australian citizenship as a privilege.
I agree. Trouble with the behavior of some of these immigrants is that is what they do normally in their home country.
Yea that Chinese one is not bad being 40mm at least it can pack some explosive downrange effect. But at 13kgs though it’s very heavy for a infantry weapon. And the sniper bit … Be more like a range calculator for projectile drop.
It’s a bit like the XM25 the yanks field trialed in Afghanistan for a few years. That was only 25mm though and didn’t have enough charge in it to make a good difference and 50bmg was better. Or their 40mm GL. It was 6kg though.
Norinco do make good stuff though. Volume and can be quality.
Nope same style as the pow camps that kept war machines alive. Sleep, eat and work towards building Australia’s economy. We will obviously have to remove some of the harsh things like torture that POWs suffered through but the fundamentals are the same.
Could even turn some of the work into stuff that works towards certain qualifications so the youth will have a stable employment option after they turn into adults in the camps and get released (if they deserved to be released obviously granny stabbers will be worked till death)
Sentencing could be based on the crime aswell E.G Arson you have to work to produce $50,000Aud for the economy, Murder could be $300,000 all the way up to ludicrous amounts like $2,000,000 depending on the context behind the crime/crimes
And yet in WW2 they were screaming out for pilots to have a crash course on P51 Mustangs and Hurricanes, there’s pictures somewhere of trainloads heading out of Adelaide, nil prerequisites besides join now. Women were digging trenches in Adelaide central alongside men.
Hey, look on the bright side. It’s not the entire hobby that’s sunk for you, just a 10ish year period from a single nation. The allies, Japanese, pre- and post- war German, and WW1/Korea/Vietnam/Gulf War stuff is all still on the table.
Holistically yes it doesn’t impact my hobby much but personally I’m primarily a WW2 collector when it comes to masks and within the WW2 Niche I mostly got Nazi masks. Within the small mask collecting community I was known as the bloke who knew Nazi masks inside out so having a censorship of history like this is just frustrating to a point that is unexplainable. I genuinely wonder how the intend on policing this law though cause it seems like a monetary and man power hassle for something that was never an issue.
Australian courts tend to be quite reasonable, and cops are people too, so I don’t think the enforcement will be too silly. The items aren’t dangerous to life, so police are unlikely to devote significant resources to it. Most likely, the known memorabilia markets will have a pair of cops go down to them every few weeks, and check everyone’s doing the right thing. Vendors would probably get a warning, and then only arrested if they persisted. Same as it went for pirated CDs back in the day.
The images part of it would probably rely on people reporting the display. Again, there’s likely to be warnings before action, even it’s obvious the displays were in open defiance of the laws.
a very very few, small group of people, use nazi symbols, for hate speech / violence etc. Their actions, have led to these laws…
For the law abiding everyone else’s…who have a genuine interest in WW2 stuff… there goes half the collection.
As always, the small minority, ruin it for everyone else…
Maybe do your review, but cover with blutack, and explain why…??
Who knows what fits the definiton, of a offensive image…??
Give it a couple of years, and join the US express…
I’m seriously looking at going, Maiphuts gonna come, smurf might be there…
Off to the states, and you can yeehaw, as much as you like…!!
You’ll even be able to collect some “trump era” gas masks…
I’m sure they’ll be used, one way or another, before this is all over…!!
It’s just an example of pure ignorance the laws won’t actually effect the people who are wrong doers, who would’ve ever thought that actual modern nazis would care about a piece of paper that says they can’t show the swashtika their going to do it anyways. The laws now only mean that people like me can’t detail interesting things about history like it’s one thing for me to tell you that due to the date range on my Gm38 the Buna S rubber it was constructed with would’ve come from Jewish slave labour in Auschwitz, but since I can’t visually show you date ranges or the mask anymore that interesting detail of history will most likely just fly over your head.
I’d leave it if was me. Worse that can happen youtube take it down. Just maybe tape mark out the bits in the future and move on.
I highly doubt the plod will come after genuine collectors in any way but more targeted at protesters, radicals which is a bit of a problem these days. Those idiots cause more problems than they know.
If USA gets blown up by trump my second choice is england. Get a farm 1/6th size of current and a Gov subsidy of 80k pounds! We really do get fuck all compared to US and UK.
I’ve only got two Nazi masks and one video is obviously posted and the other one is ready to post so just going to have to full send it and hope for the best.
