The Shit Pit

Bwahaha……. definitely a great example of Gung-Ho US Military FUBAR Tactics in play, and wasn’t surprised to see who the “Enemy” was either :joy:

Looks like noddy ville. “Everyone get down”… guy stands up waving his arms around

“Wait, wait, wait………. NOW!, on the double, quick, get over that hill quick, run faster,
Push Forward, Push Forward “

……… slowly stop halfway, watch others attack positions, casually daudle a bit further a few meters whilst Squad Commander screams at them to push forward and get closer……. Crickets

Labour govt to spend 40 million, on ads…

To convince us the stage 3 tax cuts reforms ( sorry , lies and broken promises)
Are actually a good thing…

FFS…!!! 40 MILLION…!! of our money… :rage: :rage: :rage:

Do you want to start an advertising company, we’d make millions.

“This is an advert about your gov fiddling with shit and making a big song and dance about it so everyones distracted not complaining about all the other taxes and excises that are upon them. Vote 1111!!”

I like the idea, of taking govt money…

Call it " piss on your head, and tell you its raining" productions.

Actually, that’s a bit too long

Call it, " Dreamtime Waterfall productions"…we’ll know the context…

Everyone else, will think its a first nations production company…!!
Let em…!!

I feel like I should point out that on a federal level, $40,000,000 is chump change. I know it’s a huge number to any one of us individually and would be quite literally life-altering, but to the federal government it’s really next to nothing. It’s less than $2 from each person’s annual tax contributions, and that’s before things like corporations are taken into account who are taxed more, so you’ve paid less.

I don’t doubt the context, but its still insulting…

Its bad enough they break their promises, and renege on our tax breaks…
(Lets not forget, that stage 1 and stage 2 had no benefit to higher earners, we’ve had to wait two financial years, to get any benefit.)

But then blow $40m down the drain, to try to brainwash us into forgiving them, and vote for them again…

Rubbing salt into the wound. Just a waste, purely for their self serving needs.
$40m could fix a lot of roads…

It’s not brainwashing though, it’s combating Liberal’s campaign to smear them for changing the tax cuts. Tax cut changes which are good, and help the disabled, and underprivileged like me, and my mum, and my brother, who are being hit hardest by the cost of living crisis. Tax cut changes which still don’t even stop the rich from getting a bit of a break.

If Liberal and friends hadn’t started the initial campaign, then Labor wouldn’t need to undo the damage done. If you want to get annoyed at anyone, it should be those corporate shills for selfishly trying to convince Jane and John Everyman that the poor getting a few dollars extra is a bad thing for some reason.

Also, roads don’t fall under Federal purview, they’re a state issue.

I know roads are state, i was just using that as a metaphor.

All pollies do, is throw mud at each other, people will always vote in their self interest as they always have. Spending this money really wont change peoples minds… most people would be in favour of it, as they benefit.

When your handing over very large sums of money to the tax department, you hate to see it wasted…

Big companies , “based offshore”, paying next to no tax, are what needs to be clamped down on…

I disagree about the mud slinging part, and I think that Labor pollies in particular actually do their job, and do it as well as they can with various pressures bearing down on them. Albanese’s government alone has done so much for the working class Australian, while simultaneously doing things to make sure that big name companies in Australia have to pay their fair share. I agree that Liberal, Green, Teals, Nationals, One Nation, United Australia etc etc, they all absolutely do.

But Labor are just a bunch of fucking nerds trying to do their best while everyone else is acting the monkey. Sure, sometimes they stumble and fuck up, but they’re the only mob actually interested in helping the country as a whole, and not just one tiny part of it.

Anyway, reckon we’re about to hit ‘agree to disagree’ territory

Don’t worry I’ll start my own political party and fix all of Australia’s issues

Agree with that, so i’ll leave it at that!!

Its a shame i don’t really know taylors songs/lyrics…
I could butcher him, with my special editing…

Hmmm…maybe time for some research…

Ehem I shall have to interject there sorry mate but my roads out in my area are Federal. The only way we got the main 400klm drag with heavy grain haulage and freight trucks going up and down it constantly since federal gov sold off the rail line. I only found out because I wondered why a bunch of Victorian highway contractors rolled up to redo the road, and they did a good job but it was at the Federal level, local council and state couldn’t fund it or do anything for years why it degraded.

Alas this is what I have been banging on about for years, but no one listens. I told people what I get for meat price and wool price. $3/kg for meat when it’s good. Yet the shops sell it for $30/kg. I get butchering costs need factoring in but that aint $27 per kilo, I pay the freight price to get off farm thats a minus off that 3 dollars so that is no excuse, then I pay several more things, a levy for fun, MLSA fees, Yarding fees, then agent fee, so where’s all the money going???!! No wonder Woolies and Coles posted Billion plus profits last financial year the cunts! Yet here I am with barely $100 in the bank and taking loans out to buy ear tags for fucking animals. Just because they need fkn electronic ones that serve no benefit to me what so ever I have to pay 10 times as much for the fucking things.

Does anyone hear me now or does it still fall on deaf ears. No wonder there is no young farmers like me starting up farming in Australia. There is only one bank that will give you a loan for it and you get fuck all gov support like most other countries do that farm. Singapore, Norway, they all rely on import food. Maybe add Australia to that list in 50 years.

I feel your pain and frustration brother :worried:

Farmers are the true heroes of this country.

So, squiddys off to see Tay Tay tonight…

hope he brings his quality mask…if not, there could be bad blood…

Cause Squiddy, Now you got a bad mask
It used to be a tight one,
So take a look at what you done,
Cause squiddy, your coughing blood!

Now we got problems
And I don’t think we can solve 'em
You made a really deep cut
And squiddy, now your coughing blood (hey!)

Did you have to do this?
I was thinking that you could be trusted
Did you have to ruin
The shiny clamps? Now they’re all rusted
Did you have to tear it
Where the seals weak? Baby, I couldn’t breathe
And rub it in so deep
Mustard in the wound, like you’re gassing right at me
