Thompson V2 review..(or, your wanted on the Al Capone..!)

It’s a Denix. Sold one like it earlier this year

Yeah, I couldn’t imagine having to swing one of these around with a fully loaded drum!

Certainly wouldn’t be much recoil firing pistol calibre rounds through a house brick like these!

Cheers mate, couldn’t find any markings on it anywhere

Like I said…
The very light new Tommy, would make a very good, all day, game day blaster…

As long as you’re not running the stick mags :joy:

Reminds me of the one I used to drool over at Aussie Disposals on thursday night shopping trawl only for it to be removed due to state laws changing from anyone could buy to not allowed to display.
Can’t remember what make it was fair while ago yet it was good quality like that one. :+1:

Come on mate thems freedom rounds  What was it nearly 20 pounds fully loaded. Fark that :+1:

Full day milsim with the old X-Force version, and only stick mags

Cool kit. Got a lot of the Alice gear myself as hand me downs from uncles/grandfathers along with more modern ADF kit :+1:

I didnt want to be ‘Dragon you down’, to the depths…

But, a quick fleeting glance, had me worried…!!

what’s the recommended gels?

taccy says milkies, ihobby and GBU have no recommendations for the gels on their website

I would’ve thought with metal gears, barrel etc milkies would’ve been too soft n just got shattered on their way through

It shouldn’t be that picky… but not milkies if it’s up over 300FPS. The harder gels are obviously recommended for that sort of power, same for any blaster.

Any of the harder gels like Ultra Elites, Goat Balls, etc should work fine in it, maybe Extac Booms if your looking for something a little bigger. Experimentation is the go, some work better than others in any particular blaster.

And I believe @BME is getting reasonable results using X-Force Pinks (Ausgel)? :man_shrugging:

nah the Thompson from taccy n ihobby are only around 200fps

milkies went alright, AusGel armour tech yellows put out the same as the milkies around 200fps

havnt tried anything else yet,

moved back onto my MP40, think I found the issue

Share the knowledge

smartarse lol, you know I’m not knowledgeable on these things lol

I’ve just made an observation on what I think could be the issue as one of the rubbers is deteriorated asf just inside the front the cylinder towards the nozzle

My old pulse rifle ( dressed up xforce thommy)
is getting 350 fps, out of xforce pinkies.

My modded standard thommy (xforce again), was doing a little less, with its shorter barrel.

I haven’t tried anything much else on the new thommy, gels aren’t the issue with that one, a ground up rebuild is required…

I just had a thought, have you looked at or changed the inner barrel? Check it for drill holes, they sometimes drill a little hole near the t-piece to lower FPS to meet their childish limits.

Just saw this in your other post.

Commented there. :+1:
