and a cut out for an optic

They can but they don’t by default.

Real steel

True… G19X MOS is what Danny advertised. Online shows one with a cut-out

He’s actually had both the MOS version and the normal 19x.
But since there’s no such thing as a 19x mos from factory you can either kinda convert it a g45 (but without the Gen 5 mag well flare) or call it a modded 19x.

I saw the GE TTI Sand Viper and the mounting area for the optics looks very shallow when compared to the real steel. So that’s a bit disappointing.

Just spotted this on TEH’s website, I’ll be grabbing one next week. Much better than the $1600 GBBR from ECCB and iHobby’s “XM177E2”

So it says MWS but not TM MWS… is this the JMT with the polymer receiver that was released in China??

Let me guess 2grand for 1?

So i guess 2023 will be the influx of GBBRs - iHobby with the GEs, WAT with their AWs and RPM with whatever brand this is. Happy with the progression but wary of the prices.

Still won’t shoot any better than a $100 CYMA with spring, o-ring and hopup

Was testing blasters to take to Nuketown. Most accurate and best distance from a STD SLR at 270fps. Hasn’t even had a spring upgrade

When I read this comment regarding GBBRs I really don’t get the point of it.

It’s like someone posting new information about a sports car and someone saying “well it won’t go real well on the beach”.

I mean I’m not having a go at you I just don’t get the relevancy of the comment because I’m not sure anyone buying a GBBR is expecting better performance then aeg. And if they are then they really don’t understand anything at all about why you would by a GBBR.

The problem is this type of comment gets bandied around so much that retailers believe it to be the common attitude towards GBBRs and that is why it’s taken so long to get them.

My expectation is once these get out there more people will understand why a player would choose a GBBR and we will see a shift in attitude towards them and also a change in gameplay. Not universal mind you. There is room in this sport for a lot of different play styles but I believe we will see something develop.

Probably just a throw away because of the cost of entry into the GBBR market.

I see GBBR as a specialty product, not a consumer product, in a “sport / hobby” where, at this point in time, blaster performance is limited by gel ball performance. (There is room in the market for specialty and consumer products)

GBBR and an AEG have similar overall performance in the current game scenarios. It is probable that an AEG will outperform a GBBR in most current game scenarios because of the mag capacity and rate of fire.

To someone who wants GBBR, then the uniqueness will have value. To the casual player, who is looking for something to use in a current game scenario or play in the backyard, they can get similar performance from an AEG for a fraction of the cost of a GBBR. GBBR blasters are likely to be purchased by existing blaster owners.

With the contraction of the gel ball market (two more stores closing this month) I just see GBBR as a specialty market, that may even spawn different game styles, but is unsure if it will generate additional interest in gel ball

The consumer market has already been damaged by the retailer’s focus on $500 metal blasters. I just hope that some retailers / importers can do something about the “consumer” market so we don’t see more contraction in the hobby. Most of us started playing and enjoying gel ball with cheap Gen 8 blasters (my STD SLR was an expensive purchase at the time for $230)

I’m guessing its the milsim guys who will like them, as they would be " more realistic", with better build quality, receiver splits like the real thing, the gas noise while firing etc.

I’d think a electric rig would be better overall at game days, as they are more reliable, less fiddling with gas , and larger capacity mages. Less overall maintainence to, as gas setups can be more prone to leaking.

Still, something different, something new, and im sure they will sell.
I dont think id be in any rush to grab one, unless it was a new, not released before model type…( ie uzi, spas 12 etc)

100% agree it’s a specialty market.

The biggest failure of local stores is to not do sufficient market research before bringing product in.

Also doubling up on product we already have and obsession with crack head themed blasters and archaic shooters that are not relevant to educated buyers.

The market is tiered and retailers need to understand what that means.

Entry level
Developing enthusiast
Established enthusiast
Specialist

Eg a specialist may be a speedyboi or a milsimmer. The long and the short of it is retailers need to understand that while the development of a buyer may mature naturally it also needs to be nurtured with product that suits that buyer.

There is so very little product that comes to market that interests me because I am at the specialist level. But I do not hesitate to spend dollars when something comes up. With GBBRs I will be spending dollars locally again.

Geez I bloody hope not. I do remember RPM’s comment on how absurd Danny’s 2k price is so if I had to make a guess with the other GBBRs on the market, $1000-$1500.

My thoughts exactly same furnishings and all. But from what I gathered and translated from the JMT Channel DTS AR15, the upper is aluminum and the lower is polymer. I think the GBBR with the full polymer receiver is the Lucifer A1 that was planned to be brought in by WAT.

Awesome idea/design…… but I’d get pretty annoyed with that very quickly compared with an AEG magazine.

Certainly a much better design than the MP40 style shaker mags, but can still see plenty of issues with split/crushed/damaged gels in loading/feeding from this mag…… certainly something that would have to be done outside of a game play, not in the heat of the moment on a field.

To be perfectly honest it’s not that much harder than loading a airsoft GBBR mag.
