Would i be able to carve some thickness, off the back of the trigger.?
I know it need some bulk for thickness, for the stiff trigger, but do you reckon could we lose a little…??
Not really. 
That meat at the back of the trigger acts as a stop for the trigger travel so it doesn’t push too hard into the box. If I clear any away from the back it won’t have a limit on trigger pull. You’d risk damaging the switch in your gearbox if you yanked on the trigger too hard.
It has to be that way because of the design of the casting around the old trigger… you’d never be able to have a slim trigger in it.

All done. 
Mag’s in and tight. The only way I could get it to stay put was to line the top few centimetres of the magwell with some suede leather and make it tight enough to grip and hold the mag secure under cycling. It does require something to hold the grip together or it will splay with the mag in. I put tape on it, no way to fit a screw… ya gotta do what ya gotta do with a build like this.
Extended the mag srings using a couple of cut off pop rivets. You can see them down there.
Handy tip, the ball end of a pop rivet is a snap fit into the last few coils of the mag spring. Cut the rivet off to the required length, snap them into the spring and there’s your contact extension.
Reshaped the trigger as per BME’s request and freed it up quite a bit, so not such a hard squeeze. Finish is quite flat but a coat of satin clear will correct that if desired.

From late night, looking at the uzi, random ‘maybe’ thought, to having it in the hand…Whew…!!
I held it yesterday, it is absolutely top notch.
The metal shell is as tight as, no movement at all.
Metal is the appropriate medium, as the real one is all pressed and stamped.
Even if jing-ming do eventually release an uzi, it’ll be nylon, and this is all metal.
Performance is as you’d expect with a tiny gearbox in it, circa 190 fps…but, who cares…!!
It looks and feels the part, is the only one in existance ( now that ive lost my Pulse rifle crown), and will sit on pride of place, on display…!!

So many stages of the build could have been insurmountable obstacles and kyboshed any progress but somehow it all just kind of worked out.
