Very early morning wake up, light winds , so took the jetski to tangalooma wrecks.
Beautiful day, great snorkelling, back by 8:30, so beat the crowds and the sun.
Mums birthday is soon, and i was thinking for her present, while she is still capable, i might take her for a tangalooma overnight. She could NOT handle a jetski crossing…
10am depart from brisbane in the passenger catamaran, 1:15 crossing time, afternoon boat guided tour of the wrecks. She is slowing down, but (pick your low wind days) the waters are very calm and flat. The tour boat would take her from the front of the resort, up to the wrecks (no walking).
There is a fairly strong current through the channel, but they would take her upstream, drop her (and me) in the water, and let the current do the work. All she would have to do, is float with a mask and snorkel, and look at the (abundant) fish and wildlife. Then the boat would pick her up, and take her back to the resort.
Night dolphin feeding, dinner at the resort, and a early night.
Swim at the front, the next morning, and 11:00am ferry home.
I think its within her capabilities, only floating, not strenuous swimming.
Her window of opportunity is closing to be able to do stuff like this, and it would be great memories…
She was a confident swimmer, all her life, and did scuba diving when she was younger…
Lets see what happens…
