What Did You Get Up To Today?

I can vouch for that, people are shit drivers

and yeah, offensive/defensive driving skills are definitely a must have skill

I actually Dont enjoy riding motorbikes much, anymore…

Purely because of the endless traffic…

ANYWHERE in and around brisbane…its chockas with idiots in cars everywhere…

Gotta ride so defensively, so carefully… and even if you wanted to give it a burst, you really cant, as gridlock hems you in.

Cops live on mt glorious / any decent riding place.

Which is why my Ducati 1098, only has 5500kms on it…

You just cant use it anywhere…and the rear view mirrors are so crap, they may as well not exist…

You need to head a couple of hours out west, yo wide open roads, to have some fun…

I gave up road riding some years ago. Shame really as I had some top flowing rides on my routes. Trouble was all the dickheads trying to kill me. So made the call f this and now only ride on my own private property off road and partly for work now too which is a fun job :+1:

Everybody seems to be in a hurry going nowhere, or backwards or misses a gear and on and on… Doesen’t surprise me either with some of the private training facilities.

I bumped in to one such training facility in the last couple years, they are not accredited and are normal drivers. They failed me and took my $1600 all because they could see I was ok and slammed me through a 2 day 4hr course that should be minimum 20hr course. Then got an actual accreditor in my last half an hour of the 4 to test. Failed of course.

I reported them to the gov but I see they are still in operation today. Just regular drivers, not trainers. All mine did was sit there and play on her phone

The roads around me are really good bike roads.

Pretty much know all the back roads around here like the back of my hand. Not the best on the weekends, lottsa bikes and cars.

Luckily, mid week is always an option for me if I want it. :joy:

Nearly got the back of the WRX ripped off backing out of a medical centre carpark last night.

Backing out blind and very slowly because of the tradie ute on my left side, all I caught was a silver flash as a twin cab shot past the back of me doing more than 60 clicks. Inches in it.

He was using the carpark as a road to access the street at the other end.

Won’t mention all the old people with zimmer frames coming out of the medical centre he scared the living shit out of.

Hope they got the cockhead on security camera.

Me too, I might work for 3 months straight on my own stuff 7 days a week. Ah about time I chucked myself a sicky on a Tuesday  Then you get FuckallFriday thrown in the mix :joy:

I should find and watch starship troopers again.

Finally, the last one…

a group of transformers are standing in front of a building with the words autobots roll out

Did the vinyl plank feature walls, at my clayfield unit today.

The tan painted feature walls, always showed the cracks…

Fill, sand , paint…wait…crack again…grrrr…!!

At least now, these tiles will cover it all up…

BEFORE:

And, AFTER:

Came up very nicely, glad i did it.
Covers up most of the cracks.

Pretty strong glue smell, for the next 24 hrs…

A inexpensive way, to tart up some bedrooms.
I’m surprised more people don’t go for it…
Its pretty cheap, and very durable…

Looks really good… very contemporary. :+1:

Yup…
Contact glue, on the walls, and the back of the tiles…

Pretty smelly, first 24 hrs, then fine…

I was thinking VJ timber panels, but it’s more expensive, you need to paint it, it’s much heavier, and the wall has some movement….

Mind you, I could have painted it brown Bess, and had the colour change room!!!

Hang the PR on the wall, and you won’t see it…!!
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Vinyl floor tiles are cheaper, lighter, no paint reqd…and easier to reglue a tile , should it ever come loose. Commercial properties dress up wallls like this, but not so much residential…

WTF wrong with that dungeon, or you still getting @Deadsquid jizz off the walls

At least I helped the Doctor get his shed built yesterday. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

If i had deadsquid jizz all over the walls…

I would be calling a demolition crew, a fire permit, a priest, an exorcist…then after all that purification… rebuild and sell the place …!!

Vinyl planking, aint gonna save it, from all that…!!

It will however, save it from the constant crack lines appearing (not that sort!!)

All buildings in clayfield get them… the soil dries and shrinks…then gets wet and expands… all buildings have multiple, large crack lines that reappear regularly.

Paint it, and it just cracks again…

This will be a permanent solution, to cover the cracks, and tart the place up…
With the prices 3br units go for in clayfield nowadays, it doesnt hurt to spend a little, sprucing them up…

you weren’t getting a ā€œcontactā€ high were you?

:smirk::joy:

If you mean throbbing headache, and feeling sick, with sensitive sinuses…
then yes.

it was early to bed last night.
Then again, i had a bad reaction to ketamine, so i made sure they didn’t use it on me this time…

close up, of the wall cracks…obvious when closer…

Doing some much needed garage upgrades this week, along with putting together another desk for the kids and some shelves in the office.

Plenty more work to do

Look at that clean garage… :open_mouth:

Mine used to look like that… now it looks like the Gaza strip. :expressionless:

Oh I thought you meant a different strip.
