Sounds like the chatter I have heard on so many times at skirmish fields!
Sounds like the chatter I have heard on so many times at skirmish fields!
Lots of “Secret Life Of Walter Mitty” going on there…
" I learnt that move, from back in Nam…
Nambucca heads…"
there must be some wallies around…!
More like Nambour…
Awesome video mate, but that OCD triggered my PTSD!
The very last vehicle I built before I retired was a little Mini Cooper S, and the custom full wiring harness I made was also mainly because I had to make a full custom dash with modern digital gauges and different accessories fitted both in the dashboard and the engine/fuel tank as well.
No CNC Milling machines, 3D printers and only my worn out old Lathe… but plenty of tiny handmade parts to get everything to fit and blend in to the original dash frames.
Luckily had my old mate of 20+ years who owns Mandurah Instrument Services to help build me different components for various different needs, such as the Solid State Voltage Reduction Units similar to what they used in this video.
Unfortunately modern electronics don’t like dirty, noisy old “Prince of Darkness” electrical systems, also dealing with both Analogue and Digital/CANBUS type signals from various components…a massive headfck to get everything to work properly and reliably.
Don’t get me started about how I had to completely strip, modify and rewire the whole wiper motor internals and switching system just to get high/low/park to work
If anyone has ever worked on Minis or Prince of Darkness electrical systems before, they would understand the massive task to get even the standard electrics working properly!
I NEVER want to see the inside of a Mini Cooper EVER again… which was the straw that broke my back in the end!
Taking my new wheels out for a spin on such a beautiful warm sunny day
Only just picked it up, 2nd hand, like new, but for only 1/4 of the current retail prices!
Spent yesterday fiddling around with the little adjustments shifting things around to suit my needs.
Doctors orders to try and keep active /mobile and my health together now I’m pretty unable to do much else.
Australia Post tells me that I should be getting this, the first of the 4 RC Speedboats I’m waiting on, tomorrow
Then I’ll be bringing it down here to stir up the Ducks
Bikes are great exercise, mood booster , and blood oxygenator…
As well as free transport.!
Now, if you just had 2 rear firing, upward angled gel blasters, to see off the bloody magpies…!
I won’t ask how you put the downward bend, in the boys bar…!!!
Finished off mums step / pathway today…
Paver sand base, cut the tile to size, all fitted quite well…
She can hang onto the pot and handrail at the same time…some extra stability…
If I know anything about being unstable on the feet… might wanna add some anti slip strips to those beautiful looking top tiles!
The “Queen Of Sheeba” is quite safe…
Very, Very grippy outdoor tiles…
I wet with the hose, and tried to slip on it…i couldn’t…
It’s a “Girls” bike!
It took a LOT of searching to find this particular size and style that I needed to fit in with my disabilities… hence why I was sweating about it selling before I could seal the deal, being all the way out bush.
Frame shape and size is perfect for my particular needs, but they are VERY thin on the ground in the secondhand market as 98% are all MENS Bikes that are 3 times the price and a design that I could never be able to ride
I thought the bar might have been subjected to a heavy proximal load, and bent downwards…!!
Yes…the Testicular Fortitude is strong in my family genetics
I’m actually wearing my helmet now after that big stack on the Electric Scooter that fucked up my shoulder, smashed my glasses, ringbarked everything that had an edge to it, claret everywhere being on blood thinners, concussion and a black eye that lasted almost a month!
And that was at walking speed only standing a few inches above the ground!
Always ridden mountain bikes and are definitely much safer with their large rims and tyres, along with suspension and good steering/braking.
Today’s ride was a bit over 10klm’s and through some of the steepest inclines to be found in this region.
Haven’t been on a bike since Xmas, but need to keep pushing myself to ride every single day to keep up my fitness levels and push the boundaries of how far I can actually go!
Yeah, you have more stability and chance on a bike…
You can put your foot down, for stability…
So true mate, hence why I got a “girls” bike!
Can shuffle forward off the seat with both feet on the ground and don’t have my MASSIVE ballsack bending the middle bar!
Today was the first shakedown run after mucking around with everything yesterday.
Found the hydraulic Disc Brakes to be rubbing on the runout, so on the side of the road upside down realigning the hubs.
Seat height… didn’t think that the seller was 5/6" and I’m 5/11" barefoot, or 6-6/1" wearing boots or shoes.
Another pullover to reset the seat height and was much more comfortable than when I left.
Shifting wheel hubs to align disc brakes has slightly affected the gear changes, so that will be the next fine tuning effort.
Typical MTB seat is as hard as a rock, and not being a road bike, has feckall lights or reflectors.
So already ordered a good quality aftermarket seat, LED front and rear lights, better Alloy pedals, a GPS Trip Computer/Speedo combo and a couple of other necessities as a long distance remote hillbilly bike rider to keep me on the go.
Labelled and tagged all my gear on the new work ute so I can pull up thieving coworker ute drivers with the shitty old utes and shitty old gear when they try to swap their old shit out with my new shit every opportunity they get
Then you get the “oh are you worried someone might steal your gear”
Yeah, sneaky dogs like you c🤬nt
That sucks mate, and hopefully your new system will call out the thieving pricks!
