What Did You Get Up To Today?

Shopping at Big C in Sukothai the other day found a toy we don’t see at home.

About $7 AUD for the rpg and $5 for the M16. No I didn’t buy them :sunglasses:

No fair

When we get toy m16’s they’re like a foot long

(Besides gel blasters I mean)

:joy:

Another guitar sold today… :+1:

Looks like I’ve got an MLF Beretta covered when they hit Oz shores.

Been lusting after a Safariland 6000 series ALS holster so decided to cut up an old triple mag placard and cover an old holster and mid rise mount sitting in the discarded bits drawer

Looks like it still needs some fine trimming with sharper scalpel

Very cool, Wobat… great looking holster. :+1:

Metallica gig last night.

IMHO Evanesence gets the gong for best band of the night.

Suicidal Tendencies sounded horrible, the mixer should be hung, drawn and quartered.

Evanesence were brilliant, sounded awesome and put on a great show. Hands down best band there. :ok_hand:

Metallica were great because they’re Metallica… but, gotta say, watching Trujilo and Hammett bang out a cover of “Smoko” by The Chats while Lars went out the back to top up on oxygen was a bit challenging.

Hi there guys, don’t know if you remember me, but I’m an old member that has been quiet for a while. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Just checking in since I’m back in town for resupply and have phone service. :+1:

Waaaayyyyy too much to catch up on here, but happy to see I have no messages/red flags or any notifications to take care of in my absence. :raised_hands:

Hope everyone is doing well and hopefully can borrow a “bush phone” again to try and keep in touch with the Circus and outside world.

All the best and catchya’s on the flipside!

Aaaand… the powers out.

Glad I have the battery /solar…standby power on.

The solar still works, runs the standby circuits , and most importantly, recharges the battery.

I ran it down a bit last night with air cond…dehumidify the air.

I have electric garage door and elec gates…I can still get my car out.

Still have internet too, which is good.
Fridge is also powered …happy days.

I think these events will be more common…

I suspect you’re bang on the money there.

I have to check our solar panels today…

Hail thst size will do them in nicely

Yes, I’m setting up my own solar and battery setup here along with the petrol gen I already have.

The retail solar is a joke. Paid $10k for a 5kw system on the rebate yet my power bill is $600 for 11Kwh used.

The bloody solar setup I have made 11Kwh on an overcast morning before midday, not bloody 3 months! Feel like going off grid and jam it up their arse.

Yeah, it’s a rip…
Big feed in tarrifs to entice you initially, now gone…
They wanna pay you 4c , and on sell it for 34c….mongrels.!

At residental suburban, you now need large solar AND battery , to have no power bills…
The battery backup is also a winner…

Rural, yeah, there’s likely a strong case for just going off grid…

I was going to ring them up today, and ‘discuss’ my premium increase…

Might leave it a few days…
Don’t wanna waste time, on hold…!

Lost my hot water, but can still wash my clothes…
Cold showers are refreshing in summer, anyway…!!

Went to grab some of daughter’s study folders from school early, halfway through I thought: this is it. I’m gonna die from heat stroke…right infront of a bunch of 15 year olds.
Fark it’s hot.
Currently cooling off next to the 11 year olds building and they’re all giving me a weird side eye.

Aircond temp set…22 deg.

Actual temp acheived in room … 27deg.

You think " is this actually working.??"

Step outside… yes it is…!!

And to think, my first car didn’t even have aircond…

Had to clean my work ute in the middle of the day, no shade for me to get swapped into a service ute after my shift tonight, only to get sun f##ked for nothing as the warehouse manager txt after I’d finished saying he’d had an emergency and had to allocate my service ute to someone else :expressionless:

Was sweating balls all afternoon for nothing as it’ll most likely need another clean before they get reorganised

At least my utes nice and shiny again, not that it’s not usually clean anyway but she’s gleaming now

Spent the morning with the missus in at the Brisbane Exhibition Centre for the “Oddities & Curiosities Expo”. Very alternative crowd, mostly counterculture / heavy metal so we felt right at home. :+1:

I do love a good skull…
